FAQ # 1 Why should children continue learning at
this time of pandemic ?
“Coronavirus school closures could cause epic slide in Math and Literacy skills” • That was an article published by a prestigious international
organization, the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD).
• The major key point is “ Due to coronavirus school closures, students could be losing 30% of their reading gains and 50% of Math skills” as reported by an equally prestigious educational organization, Northwest Evaluation Association”.
FAQ # 2 Is it safe for my child?
The safety, health, and socio-emotional well being of our learners should be our utmost concern, before we plan any instruction.

FAQ # 5 Which group will my child belong ?
SYNERGY GROUP Students with own gadget (laptop, tablet, desktop) and good internet at home
Integrity Group Students who share gadgets with a brother or a sister and with internet.
Integrity Group
Students who have gadgets but no or unstable internet connection
Autonomous Group
Students with no gadgets or internet.
FAQ # 6 Can my child move from one
group to another ?
Yes, students, with the permission of their parents may change groups during the school year, provided they inform the Homeroom Adviser via email or messenger at least one week before moving to another group. No student may switch groups without prior notice from parents.
How will my child
learn from this set-up?
Synergy Group
Online face-to-face lesson with teacher for at least 15-45 min. at the start of the period, followed by students working on their own using e-resources, physical textbooks.
Integrity Group
NO real-time teacher’s presence, but all learning activities are identical with online learning; learning packages sent through student’s /parent’s email or Genyo Account.
Autonomous Group all competencies are identical with the online/offline learning; weekly printed modules with textbooks and worksheets to be picked up or sent to parents’ email or iphone.
Where will they get their lessons?
Teachers curate and create learning materials for their students’ Learning Packages.
And deposit them to our Learning Management System to be sent to students via online or offline.
FAQ # 9 How do I pick and drop my child’s/children’s learning
packages (printed modules)?
Every weekend, parents/guardians of the Autonomous Group may pick up their children’s Learning Packages ( printed modules) from assigned gates of the school. They should also leave the previous week’s modules done by the students for the teachers’ evaluation.

No !
DLA does not require nor endorse any gadget offered by any company or agent.

Parents’ Role in Assessments
• Parents are urged not to do their children’s exercises, quizzes, and performance tasks, and summative tests.
• In this way, the teachers will be able to identify the difficulties of the learners and provide necessary interventions (remedial teaching ).
• The learners’ difficulties or deficiencies can be addressed during parent-teacher conferences.
• Honesty and integrity should be practiced at all times.

experiencing due to the Covid 19 pandemic, is there a possibility of
moving the start of the school year at a later date?

• DLA recognizes the financial difficulties of parents in this VUCA time ( Volatility, Uncertainty, Confusion, Ambiguity), thus the school offers several friendly payment schemes to help parents ease their financial concerns.
You can’t teach children all the things they need to know. The best we can do is position them where they Can find what they need to know, when they need to know it. (Seymour Papert, Mathematician, IT, Educator )
