Bacon Guinness Chocolate Pancakes with a Frothy Whipped CreamHead and Guinness Chocolate SyrupGuinness brings out the chocolate flavour in a stack of these chocolate pancakeswith bacon topped with a frothy head of whipped cream and Guinness chocolatesyrup.

Ingredients1 cup flour1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder1 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt1 cup + 2 tablespoons Guinness or other Irish stout1 egg1/4 cup sugar2 tablespoons butter, melted4 strips bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces and cooked (optional)1/2 cup heavy/whipping cream, whipped with 1/4 cup sugar1/2 cup Guinness chocolate syrup
Directions1. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt in a large bowl.2. Mix the Guinness, egg and butter in another large bowl.3. Mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients along with the bacon.4. Heat a pan over medium heat and melt a touch of butter (or bacon grease) in
it.5. Pour 1/4 cup of the mixture into the pan and cook until the surface starts to
bubble and the bottom is golden brown, about 23 minutes.6. Flip the pancake and cook the other side until the bottom is golden brown,
about 12 minutes. Repeat for the remaining batter.7. Serve in a stack topped with a head of frothy whipped cream and Guinnesschocolate syrup.
