Backing up to the Cloud is a great way to ensure that your most precious personal, financial and work files are protected securely on the cloud in case your system is lost or inaccessible. When you backup to the cloud, you can restore your files to the same system if you lose them or migrate your files to a new Dell system when necessary by simply logging in with the same account. Security of your data on the Cloud is paramount. With the Cloud storage option, your data is protected with 448-bit blowfish encryption before it is transmitted online and again on the Cloud storage server so you can be confident that your data will not be compromised. A System Backup is an incremental backup of all data, application, system settings and operating system files on the C: drive. System Backups should be performed regularly to maintain good system security. Each System Backup records only the changes from the previously made System Backup. Scheduled backups of your data files based on libraries, just like in Windows. Local Scheduled Backups will run at the date and time that you define. There are four default libraries (Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos) for which you can schedule backup. You can also select specific files or folders and add them to your backup profile. System Backups can be moved to another storage location if you desire. Simply open Dell Backup and Recovery and edit the Backup Profile for your System Backups. When you select the location, select the new location where you would like all System Backups to be created. The application will automatically move all your System Backups to this new location. Note: Make sure you have enough free space available on the new drive to cover all of the existing System Backups.
