Every pair donated earns money for our school. The materials from your old sneakers will
be recycled to produce shoes for children-in-need around the world!
It’s as simple as cleaning out your closet of unwanted sneakers and having your child(ren)

design and build robots. Discover how
machines and robots work and how
they make our lives easier. Learn
about simple machines, gear
structure, battery wiring, motor
principles, and electronic circuits.
Experiment with different forms of locomotion –
including wheels, legs, and “tracks”. Build your very
own robot and other projects!
An ALL NEW Science Club by
Dear Parents,
Our School has made arrangements with Mad Science, an enrichment organization, to
provide an ALL NEW after-school Robotics program at Teaneck Community Charter
School, starting January 2019. In the Mad Science club, students are introduced to
Robtoics using a hands-on inquiry-based approach in a fun and entertaining way. The
cost is $140 per child for 8 sessions which includes all materials and an awesome take-
home Robot!
The club will meet one hour weekly, for 8 weeks. Class size will range from a minimum of thirteen to a maximum of twenty children. Enrollment is open to grades 1 - 5 and is offered strictly on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please look at the days and dates carefully, as there are no makeup classes for individual absences. Makeup classes will only be scheduled for cancelled classes.

fill up quickly so be sure to REGISTER YOUR CHILD ONLINE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!
Please note that you are to pick up your child from the designated door at the end of
each session – children will not be released without parent/guardian.
Classes will meet on Fridays from 3:30pm to 4:30 PM.

Science Behind SLIME CLUB
● Fifth grade through Eighth grade students can join The Science Behind SLIME CLUB.
● The Science Behind SLIME CLUB will be held on THURSDAYS
from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
● Playing with slime is fun, but do you know the science behind it? We will explore nonNewtonian fluids and learn about viscosity, molecules, and more!
