DOG-FRIENDLY SUMMER HIKING TRAILS

Most of these trails permit dogs to be off-leash. However, in order to protect our alpine habitat, please respect all posted signs and ensure that your pet does not interfere with wildlife. Please contact the Concierge at Extension 1178 for trail maps and more information

BACHELOR LOOP resort accessible / late spring, summer & fallAfter a steep but short climb up the hill, this trail levels out as it traverses the ski slope and then winds back to the hotel. Allow 1.5 hours to complete this hike and take in breathtaking views of the resort and surrounding scenery.

VILLAGE-TO-VILLAGE TRAIL resort accessible / late spring, summer & fallThis 2.5 hour hike takes you through Aspen and Pine forests to Beaver Creek Village. From there you can choose to hike back or arrange for a pickup from the complimentary shuttle. While the first stretch of this hike is an uphill climb, most of the hike is on easy, level terrain.

BEAVER LAKE within a short drive / late spring, summer & fallThis 6 mile round-trip trail will provide a workout for you and your dog as you ascend to stunning Beaver Lake. The Concierge can arrange a complimentary shuttle from the resort to the trailhead in Beaver Creek Village.

NOTTINGHAM LAKE within a short drive / year roundThis paved figure-eight path around the lake in downtown Avon does require your dog to be leashed, but it provides an excellent opportunity to meet and greet other dogs. A dip in the lake is a great way to cool off during the warm summer months. This path is adjacent to a paved trail along the Eagle River, which is the perfect place for a jog or easy bike ride.

MEADOW MOUNTAIN within a short drive year roundDeparting from the Forest Service Station in Minturn, this trail’s wide open meadows provide plenty of space for your dog to stretch his legs. The trail climbs gently for 4.5 miles each way to the summit of Meadow Mountain, with stunning views along the way.

STEPHENS PARK unfenced / off-leashThis gorgeous park has a large grassy (sometime snowy) area for dogs to play, picnic tables, shade, river access for pets to cool-off during the summer, a short hiking trail and an adjacent playground. PET-FRIENDLY RESORT AREASWe welcome all well-mannered, disease-free dogs at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. Pets are allowed in the resort Lobby, your guest room and the outdoor patios at WYLD and Buffalos. Pets are not permitted at the pool or inside dining outlets. Please dispose of pet waste in the receptacle on the Mountainside Terrace or by calling Housekeeping at Extension 1078. Pets must be leashed or held in your arms in all common and outdoor resort areas.

‘PET IN ROOM’ SIGN & HOUSEKEEPINGPlease place on the outside of your guest room door whenever your pet is inside. Housekeeping will only enter your guest room if your pet is not present or if you are present and your pet is leashed or caged.

GUIDED HIKE/SNOWSHOE WITH NATURALIST 90 minutesThe resort is surrounded by miles of trails and breathtaking scenery to explore. Pets are welcome on all guided hikes and snowshoe tours led by our knowable Naturalists. For more information, please contact the Recreation Department at extension 1112.
