BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN AIRPORT ENGINEERING 2014-2015 ACADEMIC YEAR INTRODUCTION With the bachelor’s degree course in Airport Engineering, which will qualify you to practice as a technical aeronautical engineer, you will acquire a solid background in airport engineering and a knowledge of air transport, runway maintenance, hangars, terminals and service buildings, control towers, and passenger and cargo access ways. You will study airport construction, maintenance and management and will learn how to apply the technical skills you acquire to the fields of geotechnical engineering, electrical and communications installations, structures, building construction and air navigation infrastructure. This bachelor’s degree will entitle you to enrol for any of the master’s degree courses offered in the area of Aerospace Engineering, subject to admission by the institution responsible for the degree. Students seeking to pursue a career in research may enrol for a doctoral course. Regulated profession This bachelor’s degree will qualify you to practice as a technical aeronautical engineer.
