Line 1: Generalist Primary Stream Electives

What can I select? We recommend that you take your electives from the Sustainable Communities course list or from any of the Discipline Depth Study course lists. However, your electives can also be any non-restricted course in the University, if you meet the assumed knowledge requirements. The University’s current suite of online electives can be found at: http://www.newcastle.edu.au/students/current/online-electives.html Completing an elective course at the same time as my internship: You should select an elective from the Sustainable Communities course list in your final semester. The Sustainable Communities course list include courses which has been designed to work alongside your internship using distance, blended or compressed delivery modes.

Warning for fulltime students receiving Centrelink payments

To maintain eligibility for Austudy, you must be enrolled in 30 or more units per semester to be considered a full time student by Centrelink. This includes your final semester when you are completing your internship.
