A lot of variationWe offer a practice-oriented training but we always have an eye for the strong theoretical underpin-nings. Our students learn from practical projects which partner companies offer us as team assign-ments: e.g. market research projects, event organ-ization, drafting a communication and a marketing plan. Sometimes we also work with business case simulations. Finally students must always present their advice to a panel of professionals. They devel-op a broad range of skills in the field of marketing (including e-marketing), ICT and communication in foreign languages. We also encourage our students to develop excellent social skills which must help them develop business contacts.
From general to more specificOur marketing training has three critical corner-stones: specialist marketing study, foreign lan-guages and computer science. The specialist study covers everything ranging from broad marketing to very specific marketing niches. Business cases support everything we teach. Guest speakers, con-ferences, company visits, workshops and projects are all part of our training. Moreover, according to your interests and future plans, you can take a number of electives such as Event Management, Retail and Shop Management, Relationship Marketing, Business Strategy, German, Real Estate Management ...
Intense contact with companies
Intense contacts with business is the core charac-teristic of your practice-based marketing Bachelor study. Guest speakers, company visits and in-com-pany-projects help you discover what doing busi-ness in real companies is all about.
• In your second year you get to taste of a sales practice in a company of your choice for two weeks.
• In your third year you will have a three-month internship in Belgium or abroad to become familiar with the expectations and requirements of business life.
• In the last year of your training a Bachelor thesis and an in-company project are on the program: this enterprise education equips you with the attributes, capabilities and skills that enhance your employability and enable you to be entrepreneurial.
Major marketing companies are constantly looking for spirited commercial staff or marketing people. Are you flexible, do you feel that you have a commercial talent and that you have good communication skills? Do you have a keen interest in the exciting world of marketing and communications, distribution, sales, event management and international business? Then you will love our Marketing Major.
