DESIGNER’S CONCEPT STATEMENT

The theme of this kitchen is feminine sophistication. The intent of

this design is to provide a functional, classic and timeless

kitchen which meets the needs of a busy, growing family in a

traditional style with a modern interpretation. Traditional style

marries design principles and elements throughout history

which have been tested by time; this kitchen being a luxe version

of that nod to the past. Symmetry gives a sense of order and

predictability while quality craftsmanship and inset doors in the

cabinetry give a refined and dignified feel. Curves in the focal

point of the room with decorative doors and oven hood echoed in

the barstools and lighting give a soft, delicate identity to the

space. The conventional use of marbled quartz, subway tile, and

oak flooring balance the tenderness with a more masculine

conservativism. The navy and blush color scheme with warm

brass metal envelop the space with elegance. Sophistication will

be achieved with style, space planning and materials.
