MEASURING ARM Baces3D: Introduction
Baces3D is a portable measurement arm,
designed for acquire 3-dimensional measures,
points and surfaces within its work-space with a
simple manual movement of the user. Contact
or Non-contact technology for acquisition, using
a touch probe or the BacesScan laser scanner.
The Baces3D arm is manufactured in
aeronautical aluminium, and use high precision
optical trasducers on its joints. A lifetime
permanent calibration is granted by the
mechanical design, oriented to get light but
stable structure.
You can use the Baces3D arm with a common
laptop or desktop PC. Baces3D communicate
with PC through a USB direct link cable. Points
data and commands for the software are made
by 3 buttons on the probe or by foot pedals.
Baces3D arm is integrated in many commercial
CAD/CAM softwares, as for example Delcam
(PowerShape and PowerInspect), Rhinoceros,
AlphaCAM, , Capps-nt and many others.
Baces3D is supplied with certification of
accuracy, electromagnetic certification
compliance and CE. Upon request, it is
supplied also with SIT certificate according with
ISO-EN10360-2 norm.
Baces3D is the ideal instrument for digitization,
reverse-engineering and metrology application.

Modeling CAD RHINOCEROS
Rhinoceros is a CAD software necessary to create with accuracy and precision the mathematical model of your product (NURBS surfaces).

BacesScan: the Laser Scanner Quick & Reliable Scanning

probe or the BacesScan laser scanner.
BACES SCAN: the laser scanner
Applied on BACES3D 6 axis arms versions, the scanner laser system allows you to scan and measure complex surfaces
without contact.

Baces3D arm with BacesScan laser scanner are a great combination for reverse-engineering and/or quick inspection of
any part.
BacesScan is integrated with direct plug-in application in many common softwares for reverse-engineering and quality
inspection like Geomagic, Delcam PowerInspect, 3DReshaper and others.
Using the touch probe connected to the scanner head, allows to use the system as the standard arm configuration without
removing the Scanner.
BacesScan Applications:

Quality Control, Inspection collecting point clouds to be projected in real time to the CAD model using
metrology softwares (i.e Delcam PowerInspect)
