“BABY GOT BACH: WONDERFUL WINDS” CONCERT FOR KIDS AND THEIR
FAMILIES AT PRINCETON, BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
With Baby Got Bach: Wonderful Winds, Princeton University Concerts (PUC) presents the first of its two All in
the Family series concerts this year, held in Richardson Auditorium in Alexander Hall. An interactive concert
specially created for kids ages 3-6, pianist Orli Shaham’s Baby Got Bach program will return to Princeton on
Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 1pm featuring the internationally celebrated young quintet WindSync, making
their Princeton debut. The audience will get to meet all of the instruments in the woodwind quintet, and discover
the joy of making music just by breathing. Everyone is invited to stay afterward to meet the performers and their
instruments in a woodwind petting zoo!
The music featured on the Baby Got Bach: Wonderful Winds program relays music’s ability to tell stories, inspire
dance, and uncover beauty in the everyday, including Aaron Copland's toe-tapping Hoedown, Sergei Prokofiev’s
classic musical tale Peter and the Wolf, and timeless music by Johann Sebastian Bach, and more.
Tickets are just $5 kids, $10 adults. Last year’s concert was sold out; families are urged to buy their tickets soon.
PUC’s Meet the Music: Albert & Wolfgang concert for older kids ages 6-12, celebrating the legacies of Albert
Einstein and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, will take place on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 1PM.
ABOUT BABY GOT BACH
The interactive concert series Baby Got Bach was founded by concert pianist Orli Shaham in 2010. As Artistic
Director, she draws on both her background as an internationally renowned musician and her experience as the
mother of young children. Baby Got Bach's interactive concerts introduce young children to musical instruments,
2
concepts, and the experience of concert-going. The concerts feature hands-on activities followed by performances
that encourage audience participation and develop listening skills. The wildly popular series, presented in New
York City by the 92nd Street Y, is included in New York Magazine's "Best of New York" list, and has been cited as
"magical" and "a terrific family event" in the press, praised in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, New
York Magazine, among others. Baby Got Bach made its Princeton University Concerts debut in the spring of 2016.
