• The move to our spacious 19ha estate alongside Grey College.• Mr Paul Cassar took up office as the school’s first “Gentle man Headmistress”.

• The Eunice community chose multi-racial schooling in a 94% model B vote.• Eunice hosted the first of Eunice’s major community musicals. The Eunice Sound of Music played to 14 000 people in the Sand du Plessis Theatre.• A cast of 380 played Evita to 13 000 people in the Sand du Plessis Theatre.

Eunice High School is one of South Africa’s top boarding schools with a long history of tradition and excellence.• What is Eunice’s recipe for her sustained Academic success? At Eunice you will be educated in a dynamic environment of high expectations where you will be taught to question critically, to think creatively and to master life skills and techologies.• Why choose English as my Academic Language of Instruction? Developing English communication skills opens the door to your future. Confidence in fluency in English certainly enables our old girls to flourish at university and to embrace the opportunities that international mobility presents in a modern world.• Why do so many people say: “Once a Eunice girl, always a Eunice girl?” Eunice is a way of life for us. Our teachers serve it selflessly in the knowledge that they help to shape a better future for our girls.

HOW DO I APPLY?Application forms (including a list of required documentation) are available at http://www.eunice.co.za. Please understand that we receive many more applications than we can accommodate.

As we have three Grade 7 classes graduating from Eunice Primary School we can only accept a maximum of 60 new girls, half of whom will be boarders.

We literally receive hundreds of applications for these places. Our Grade 9, 10, 11 & 12 classes are already at capacity. We do however, always have transfers out of Bloemfontein, so we are able to accept a very limited number of more senior applications.

Notifications of the outcome of applications are sent out in October. Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed.

Eunice House is the place where boarders feel at home under

the care of House Parents. It provides a safe environment

with full-time security at the main entrance and regular

patrols around the perimeter of the school by our dedicated

security personnel.

Our transport service will fetch and carry girls to and from

co-curricular activities beyond the school grounds. We

accommodate short and long shuttle routes.

Excellent, nutritious meals are provided by two qualified chefs

and a full-time, qualified nurse is available 24 hours a day to

tend to our girls! Laundry services are offered by trained

staff and a laundry room in each wing is accessible for

each boarder.

A structured academic environment within the

hostel allows boarders to work well, and two

boarders per room allows the girls to socialize

and forge a “sister” bond. Planned social

events and treats are offered on a regular

basis to further allow the girls to feel a sense

of belonging in the EUNICE FAMILY.

(There are four self-catering flats

available for the use of boarders’

parents during their visits to Bloemfontein).

EUNICE HOUSE IS A COMMUNITY WHERE LEARNING AND PERSONAL GROWTH ARE PRIORITIES, LIFELONG FRIENDSHIPS ARE FORMED AND SUCCESS IS CELEBRATED.

H.2ostelI became a member of the Eunice family at the beginning of

my Grade 7 year and made many friends who would become

like sisters to me.

Over the past few years living at Eunice House, which has become our home away from home, we have learnt so many valuable lessons. For example, how to resolve issues in a mature manner, how to support one another during the happy and tough times. Furthermore, we have learnt the value of respecting one another’s differences. Together we

have developed into confident young ladies who have created an

everlasting bond.

Eunice High School provides quality education and Eunice House has made it

possible for boarders to make full use of the

opportunities provided at this special school.

When the time comes to bid her farewell, we

will leave as well-equipped young ladies who

will enjoy bright and successful futures.
