improved communications

High-speed scanning is one of the major ad-vantages of the new bizhub 250. With theoptional feeder, scanning complex documentsis not a problem. It is capable of reading in up to 70 originals per minute, making centralscanning in any network direction you needpossible.

Internal and external information and distri-bution sharing is easy and efficient thanks to the embedded network interface card:Scan-to-eMail, Scan-to-FTP, Scan-to-SMBare standard features of the bizhub 250.

LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)support provides you with direct access toyour company’s eMail database. Enteringyour required addresses manually is no longernecessary.

Faxes still play an important role in manyoffice environments. The optional Super G3fax of the bizhub 250 features a wide varietyof useful functions needed in today's busi-ness world: Up to 540 one touch keys can beprogrammed, and up to 300 broadcastinglocations registered, quick memory and batchtransmission, fax re-routing as well as memory reception are available. And with the optional multi-line fax kit, faxes can besent and received simultaneously.

The bizhub 250 comes equipped with a192 MB memory that can be easily upgradedto 320 MB. And the optional 40 GB harddisk not only increases page storage capacityconsiderably, but it also makes additional features like watermarks, stamps, and overlayavailable.

With the bizhub 250’s Network Utility Page-Scope Web Connection, the device can beaccessed using a standard web browser. Thisallows an administrator to check the devicesstatus and change network settings remotely.

The PageScope Workware Document Hand-ling software makes document merging, converting, forwarding, and scanning child’splay. Its file structure depicting miniaturethumbnails of filed documents enables usersto view files without opening the application.

Accounts can be easily set up with the bizhub 250 and print volumes be defined bythe administrator, making it an efficient cost-controlling tool.
