CULTURAL REPORT AND ACHIEVEMENT FOR YEAR 2014 - 2015

Following cultural activities done during the year 2014 – 2015

1) A PRAVESHOTSAV -2014 program for new comers in college was arranged on Friday, 26-07-2014

and 350 students and parents participated in the program.

2) We have participated in Inter college debate competition on 28 August 2014 held at “S M Patel College

Of Home Science” sponsored by Charutar Vidya Mandal on the topic of “IN THE OPINION OF THE

HOUSE The Virtual World Making Us Indifferent And Insensitive To The Real World” Following students represented the college:

a) Mr Kunal Mukesh Thanki, Second year IT

b) Mr Enosh Vishwanathan, First year ET

We secured 3rd position.

3) Blood donation camp was organised on 08 – 08 -2014 and 128 units of blood collected.

4) We have participated in Grand Inter College Youth Debate competition on the occasion of International

Youth Day 2014 on 12 August 2014 held at Parul Group of Institute, Limda, District: Vadodara.

We won this competition and received 5000 Rs cash prize.

6) A drawing competition on “Gandhiji and Swachchhta” under Swachchha Bahrat Abhiyan at BVM

Engineering college organized on 30th January, 2015. Thirty students have participated in above

competition.

7) AMUL VOLCANO’15 was organised by Rotary Club Anand Round Town and Anand Municipality

from 3rd Feb to 7th Feb, 2015.

There are 21 events with 1000+ students of 29 colleges around Anand and V.V Nagar has

participated. The college bagged the first prize in 7 events, second prize in 6 events and become the

overall champions with 40 points. It is the third consecutive time BVM has won the trophy.

10) A blood donation camp organized on Tuesday, 28th April 2015 with the help of A D Gorwala blood

bank, Shree Krishna Hospital, Karamsad. All staff and students take keen interest in this noble cause

and 86 bottles collected.

11) UDAAN 16 – (The Euphoric lips) Technical and Cultural festival organize during 7-10 April 2015.

There are 27 Technical events, 20 Non-Technical events and 4 cultural nights in which 3000+

students has participated from B V M and other engineering colleges of Gujarat.
