We would like to congratulate and welcome the 2019 committee. Thank you to Mr Pike for organising another successful swimming program. Today was the last day of the two week program and importantly, we strongly suggest you follow up with swimming lessons as two weeks of intensive swimming is a starting point and coming into summer, it is so important to be competent in the water. Well done to all students who attended as your behaviour was outstanding, as expected. We have less than four weeks of school left - can you believe that?! Whilst we do have some end of year activities planned, we will be working every day and we expect students to be in attendance up until the 19th December. With the festive season upon us, we will see the appearance of Christmas cards at school, when students will exchange cards among friends. It is also common for children to put a candy cane or similar with the cards. We encourage the festivities and the giving of cards and would appreciate it if any candy canes handed out at school are not eaten until students get home. Thanks for your support! We are in the process of putting classes together for 2019. If you know you will be moving and leaving Boambee, please contact the office ASAP as it really assists us in planning. Also, if you know of family or friends intending on enrolling in Boambee, can you encourage them to enrol prior to the start of the 2019 year so we can minimise disruption at the start of the year. When we form classes, we take into consideration the academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs of your child. I am happy to have a discussion with you about your child’s placement and we have started transition processes for children who have been identified by teachers and families. As the term comes to a close, it is important to celebrate the successes of teachers and students. We will be recognising some students at our Presentation Day but we can all be proud of the progress our students are making in all areas of the curriculum. Brad Lyne - Principal Helpers Morning Tea In appreciation of your valued contribution in assisting the staff and students of Boambee Public School during 2018, you are cordially invited to attend a special morning tea for volunteer helpers on Tuesday, 11th December 2018 at 11am in the Boambee Public School Staffroom. PBL During Week 6 and 7 our PBL focus is: Being a LEARNER. The Stage 3 students lesson outlined: * Being ready to learn * Staying focused * Completing work to the best possible standard. Well done to our Stage 3 students for delivering another excellent PBL lesson.
