Newly renovated space at the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre for child/parent interaction and childcare helped to support STARSS programming

Enthusiasm for creating Smoke Free Environments for their children.
Appreciated Ideas for doing different things to delay smoking around their children.
Newsletters, handouts, journals, posters and incentives were most useful
STARSS AT HOME
Started integrating into Healthy Families Home Visits. First year 6 Healthy Family clients; 4 quit smoking around children, 1 quit smoking during visits, 1 later quit smoking.
Note a reduced number of smoking families; introducing 1 on 1 when they come into the program.

2008: STARSS Training to 55 projects with FNIHB and PHAC
Summer 2010: Promoting STARSS to 24 Community Agency personnel within Grande Prairie and surrounding area.
