Nowadays, when it comes to your garage, anything goes. Nothing seems too over the top for some folks. Gone are the days of the messy garage crammed with stuff that no one ever really uses. Sure, you need a space to store your car and a place to stash your tools, but in today’s suped-up garages, there’s also space for plenty of guy toys. Think car collections, not-so-mini-fridges, flat screen TVs, lounge seating, and maybe even a pool or ping-pong table, too. After all, you need to have some fun while you’re caring for your sweet ride. Today’s most impressive garages often sport some other great features. For auto aficionados, built-in hydraulic lifts make oil changes and other tune-ups a breeze. Pair that with built-in shelving and drawer systems for the ultimate in tool organization and you’ve got the car-lover’s dream space. Have a motorcycle or two? Consider giving your bike its own place where you can showcase its beauty and clean and care for it in style. Lighting and simple but comfortable seating can lend an almost gallery-like ambience to your garage, making it a place for you and family or friends to enjoy time together while you’re working. For sports fans, today’s garages can be outfitted with organizational systems designed for easy access to golf clubs and shoes; racing bikes hanging in reach out of harm’s way; and kids’ sporting accessories neatly stored away and clearly labeled in bins. If you’re more interested in a workshop space, why not designate one bay entirely to your tools and materials. Consider closing this spot off from the rest of the garage so sawdust and other debris won’t wreak havoc on the entire space. Projects can be worked on when you have the time and drying items will be safe and sound, set apart from the daily activities of the home. The final touch on your cool new space? Don’t forget the floor. For heavy-duty areas, recoating your existing garage floor with a durable and more beautiful epoxy coat will definitely show off your vintage car collection or amazing workshop. If you have a stained concrete floor consider this option as the pièce de résistance of your amazing new garage. It’s not prone to cracking like standard concrete floors and sweeping and cleaning your cool new digs will be a breeze. Enjoy!

Blue Crab DipPICO DE GALLOINGREDIENTS4 diced Roma tomatoes1 white onion diced2 jalapeno seeded & minced1/2 c chopped cilantro1/4 c lime juice1 tsp minced garlic2 tsp salt1 tsp pepper

DIRECTIONSAdd all the ingredients in a mediumbowl and mix together. Reserve forlater use.

CRAB DIPINGREDIENTS16 oz cream cheese8 oz claw meat1/4 c diced white onion

1/4 c chopped scallions1/4 c diced Roma tomatoes1/2 c heavy cream1/4 c white wine1 tsp mustard powder1 tsp chicken bouillon powder1 tbsp butter1/2 c shredded parmesan cheese

DIRECTIONSIn a medium size skillet begin by melting down butter on a medium heat then toss in onions and cook until they become translucent. Deglaze the pan with white wine and add in the remaining ingredients (except for crab until the very end). With a whisk, stir mixture constantly until it becomes smooth. Once the mixture becomes smooth remove from heat and fold in claw meat.

Spring is in the air. Why not make this the season you pick up the game of golf, or finally perfect your swing if you’re already a links lover.

As with anything, practice is always the best path to better performance. Before setting out to play a full 18 holes, spend some time at the driving range. Getting your swing in tip-top shape before stepping out on the fairway will ensure you play your best this season. Bored of hitting balls alone? Invite a friend out to the driving range with you and challenge each other to see who can hit the farthest. The winner buys lunch or a small gift at the pro shop. Even better? Take your spouse or significant other to the driving range with you and have a golf date. Another way to up your game? Get a club fit. Many players don’t realize they are using golf clubs that simply aren’t suited to them. By taking your clubs to a club fitting shop you can have an analysis done on what clubs would be best suited to your stature, body type, and swing style. Some experts swear you can improve your game by several strokes by simply switching to the right clubs. Look online for shops near you that offer this customization. If you’re truly committed to lowering your score, look for a golf training camp at a resort or simply find a local golf club that offers lessons, whether it’s private or in a group. This is a great way to get in with a group of players on your level, who could become future golf partners. Many public and private golf clubs offer

incentives to keep you coming back to their course, so be on the lookout for discounts and fun events. Before committing to a full 18 holes, search out courses that offer 6-, 9-, and 12-hole rates. These shorter-length play options are becoming more and more common at golf clubs across the country, as busy players are looking for more options in terms of time commitments and cost. A shorter day on the greens is the perfect way to ease into the season. A final way to put some extra spring in your step out on the links? Try out some new golfing duds. Today’s hottest looks include bold, bright colors and even prints. Skirts for women are classic and fitted but now some have ruffles and come in varying lengths. Preppy-hip is the name of the game. After all, looking good is feeling good and that can only up your game!

This is not a commitment to lend. Subject to qualification. Not all applicants will qualify.

1) If your rate is 4.25% or higher, you may benefit from a refinance.

2) If you want to pay your house off faster with a low 10 or 15 year fixed rate.

3) If you have a FHA loan, you may be eligible to have the mortgage insurance either reduced or removed via a refinance.

4) If you have a conventional loan, you may be eligible to have the mortgage insurance either reduced or removed via a refinance.

5) If you have more than 20% equity in your home but are struggling with installment and credit card debt, a debt consolidation refi may benefit you. With most credit card rates above 20%, paying off that debt with today’s low mortgage rates could represent significant savings.

Mortgage rates rose modestly by end of 2014, but falling oil prices and geopolitical unrest have sent rates plummeting again to start the year. We are back down near all-time lows. However, with the Federal Reserve publicly announcing that they plan to raise borrowing rates this summer, we already know that this refinance opportunity will be short lived. We may not see rates this low again in our lifetime. Do not miss out!

How can you benefit from a refinance?

Our near-perfect weather this time of year also sets the stage for peak season for home buying and selling. The last few years have been a bit of a seller’s market. But for 2015, the market seems to be back to a more normal balance with homes selling in an average of six months. A normal

market like this with a healthy inventory of homes often tips the scale in favor of the buyer. If you are looking to buy a new home, you may not find a better time with this amount of inventory of homes and the low mortgage rate environment.
