    THE INTRODUCTION

    The concept of the State, owning an organization, is to facilitate the Public, residing in that

    state, better than any other organization, in that sector of the economy.

    Tas`heeh-e-Nau, a part of Azm-e-Nau, is deemed to initiate the plans to correct the

    functioning of these enterprises and further strengthen such organizations, so that they

    become self-sufficient and utilize the available resources, efficiently. Hence, start

    contributing efficiently, to the economy of Pakistan.

    RULES & PROCEDURES

    PARTICIPATION

    1. 3 members constitute a team.2. ONLY University of Gujrat Students are eligible for participation.3. Due to LIMITED seats teams will be entertained first come first serve.4. Winner and runner-up(s) will be given due recognition.

    REGISTRATION

    1. The complete registration requires the following to be submitted before thedeadline.

    i. Registration Formii. Registration Fee2. The LAST date for entry is 1st June, 2011.

    3. All participants MUST submit a registration form and fee along with photocopy ofUniversity Card to identify them as CURRENTLY enrolled in University. Participants

    will be required to submit this registration form and fee in Students Services Centre

    Cabin # 11 Academic Block by hand.

    4. Registration fee for the CompetitionI. Rs. 300 (Per Team)

    The registration fee is non refundable.

    COMPETITION

    1. On the day of the competition all selected participants are required to bring withthem some proof of their identity e.g. National I.D. Card or University I.D. Failing to

    do so will result in disqualification.

    2. The PROTEC Management reserves the right to modify the rules without priornotice.

    3. In all matters concerning the competition, the decision of the PROTEC Managementwill be final and binding on all concerned.

    RULES

    1. Past performance and current highlights of the enterprise chosen, should be brieflybut comprehensively discussed.

    2. Issues/Malfunctions should be clearly elaborated.3. The ideas generated should be well within Social and Economic Constraints, the

    country is facing. Do not build Castles in the Air.

    4. Comparison with the similar enterprises in the domestic or foreign economies mayalso be made.

    5. All the arguments should be supported with proper facts and figures. Datamentioned must be authentic and proper reference is required.

    6. Criticism on any Individual or Party is NOT Allowed. Wrong/controversial decisionsmay be mentioned.

    7. If any new or parallel system can be devised and incorporated, it should be shared.8. The conclusion should be comprehensive. RECOMMENDATIONS are a requirement

    of the activity.

    9. Time duration of Presentation is 5-7 minutes.10.The interactive session via Moderator would also be conducted.11.The complete Reports should be submitted to the Azm-e- Nau management, at least

    3 days before the Competition.

    12.There is no restriction on choosing a team. Students from various disciplines mayconstitute a team.

    13.The allocation of the topics to the teams is on first come basis, for the first 3 days ofregistration.

    14.All the rules, mentioned in the Azm-e-Nau Registration Guidelines are binding on theparticipating Candidates.

    NOTE

    Keep in mind the budget constraint of the organization and focus a bit more on the

    management and administrative aspect of the functions of the Enterprise because the

    turmoil in the economy is more due to administrative lapses and not because of the

    shortage of resources.
