Week 3Tones

Here, I tried to make some really different types of tones. The pointillism took me more time than the others but still the one I prefer. This was a really great training for us to make something in a short time.

Here, I had so much difficulties. I used some pictures of my still life because I was not able to see each shadow details on it. At first, I was really scpetic about this work but then, I found it quite great too. This took me 2 hours to do.

Line, depth, Colour structureEDUARDO PAOLOZZIPaolozzi is born in 1924 at Leith in the north of Edinburgh and he died in 2005 in London.. He is Italian. He was a sculptor, university teacher, painter, designer, graphic artist, actor, cineast, ... (he was very busy I think). He worked at paris, Edinburgh, London, Hamburg, Cologne and Berkeley. He is from pop art and contempory art movements. He has been influenced by Henry moore. I pretty like his works. They are quite colorful and that’s what I think make a paint or a sculpture more visually speaking, good.

Week 5Shapes palette & collage

Here, I am not really satisfied of my work. I think I would have done it better as the two other one... This was the first attempt of this collage so I thought it was easy but it wasn't. For a first attempt I am not

satisfied at all.

This is the last one I made. I tried to but the corners first so I could made some different shapes with my shapes palette. I tried to make a cloud with a sun above (sun is supposed to be the green ovale and the cloud the red one with some rain). I am pretty satisified of this one and it's more colourful than the

first one.

This is my second attempt and I am more proud of this one. I tried to make a more condensed layout with no real corners on it. There are a lot of colour which make it more visually good. The center (red) makes everything pop around it and I pretty like

it.

Week 6Shapes palette & collage Some of her artsHannah Myers

"In art, and in life, I am on a constant exploration of space. How we interpret it, how we define it within our own personal lives and how spaces and places have the power to shape who we are as individuals. My work consists of constant trials between positive and negative space using bold color and scale. I’m interested in testing how each of these elements find their place in a cohesive work of art. I am inspired by bold pattern and color, nature, organic shapes, and my children. My goal is to create work that invokes joy in collectors who choose my work to be part of their own unique places and spaces. Let’s make something beautiful together."

Week 7Shape based logo and poster

For the business card I wanted to make something simple and easy to read. When you have a business card in hand, sometimes, too much informations are on it. Here I really tried to show every details of the brand and I kept the colour palette of the logo, and the same background colour as the logo sheet (cith all the explaination about the logo etc...).

For the poster, I wanted to keep the same design for both of them. The first one is a vectorised image of my week 5 work. It seemed very abstract and then I remembered about a friend sentence which was "for me Picasso isn't an artist" and here is the result of this sentence. Yes, abstract is a really great way to make art and will always be. For the second one, I wanted to recreate a metro, road and train lines. It's just the same work as the first one but mixed in four to create this feeling of road. I also writed "ART" in white to make it looks like it was full part of the metro lines.

First of all, for this logo, I wanted to make something colourful, but not too much. Something spicy and sweet. So I decided to mix up jade green, apple green and red. These 3 colours matched really well all together. After, I thought about what the brand would sell. The sun wasn't in front of me so I thought about Ice cream! Then the name of callisto came to me. Callisto is a moon from Jupiter and it's colourful so I thought that the name was really matching with the vibes I wanted. For the font, I wanted something funny but professional. So I get on Adobe Font the font "Chantal". It sounded really fun and professional for me because Chantal is the name of secreatary sometimes or school tutors... And name a font chantal seems really funny to me. So again, a really matching font with my vibes.

I thought of a little story of the brand, so I wanted something Belgian, local and bio/ecological (that's why

the colours are like this).

TO SEE THE LOGO BIGGER, I PUT A NEW SHEET AFTER!
