WJW-WJT Families-

It's hard to believe...but the playoffs are here! We have been blessed with some amazing weather this sea-

son...although it looks like we might get a bit wet this weekend. I want to thank each and every one of you for

participating in WJW/WJT football and cheer in 2013. What an incredible ride it has been.

Our last cheer competition of the year takes place on Saturday at RIT. Please come out and support our girls

as they put on another amazing show. The girls did an outstanding job at last weekend's Cheer for Charity

event, and I was extremely proud to see the work come together. Great job ladies!

We will have football players and cheerleaders all over the county this Sunday, with our C-White team in

Hilton; our B-Blue team in Fairport; C-Gold,A-Blue, and B-Gold in Greece; and C-Blue and A-White hosting

games at home. Good luck to all this weekend. Win, lose, or draw...we are proud of the effort you have put

forth this season, and the progress you have made. Great work!

With the impending rain, there is a possibility that the field at Boulter may get closed. If that happens, we will

be playing our home games on the Thomas turf. If there is a change, we will send out an e-blast as well as

text messages and have signs at the field. We're crossing our fingers that the rain will hold off and we'll be at

Boulter.

Thank you again to everyone that has volunteered their time this season. Board members, coaches, medics,

managers...the list goes on and on. Without your countless hours and dedication to the program, we would not

be able to offer such an incredible program. Thank you all.

Best of luck to everyone this weekend!!

Go Webster!

AYFCL Update It is the time of year that AYFCL re-evaluates league rules. The changes in the ages and weights that

occurred two years ago were intended to be a two-year trial, and as such are currently under review

by the league. Any changes made by the league would be announced prior to 2014 registration.

Challenger Bowl 2013: October 26, 2013 The SEPTA (Special Education Parent Teacher Association) hosts a flag football league each

year for special needs kids of the Webster CSD. This year they have 32 participants in their program. WJW/WJT will once again host our annual Challenger Bowl which has become a

Super Bowl type culmination to their flag football season and for many of us, it is our favorite event that we do as an organization each year. We would love to have as many football

players come out wearing their jer-seys and cheerleaders on the side-

lines in their uniforms showing their support of this game and these

great players. Many of our coaches will be suiting up as referees for this

game and we will put on our full blown WJW/WJT game day experi-

ence (announcer, music, scoreboard, cheerleaders, etc.).

We do need a few volunteers to

help with concessions that morning (set up, working booth, tear down) and a

few other jobs to help make this day a success. We will be done by noon

at the latest. Please email Brian Ben-edict at [email protected]

if you would be able to help. It is tru-ly a very rewarding event and a

great day to show our kids how fun and enjoyable it is to give back to

the community (yes, kids working be-side their parents is encouraged).

AYFCL Code of Conduct Each Parent / Legal Guardian signed this Pledge:

I understand that the game and events are for the children, not the adults.

I will encourage good sportsmanship. I will set an example by demonstrating good sportsmanship and posi-

tive support for all players, coaches, officials, board members, and other adults at all AYFCL functions

(This includes practices, games, and other events).

I will provide support for coaches and AYFCL staff working with my child to provide an enjoyable experience

for all.

I will demand a drug, alcohol, and tobacco free sports environment for my child and agree to refrain from

their use at AYFCL events.

I will require that my child treat other players, coaches, officials, and adults with respect.

I will treat other players, coaches, officials, and adults with respect.

I will require and assume responsibility for my child treating assigned equipment with care. I will assume the

financial responsibility for all lost or damaged equipment

I will abide by the AYFCL and organization rules and regulations.

No persons other than players, coaches, medics, or AYFCL officials are allowed on the field. There are no

exceptions to this. All game filming must be done outside the sectioned off area.

I will refrain from coaching my child from the spectators area, as I understand that there will be no non-

certified coaching allowed.

The WJW-WJT Program strives at being the best in providing a positive Sportsman-

ship Environment for our players. Our program is bigger than any one player, coach

or spectator. Each of us is a steward of our entire organization. Positive Sportsman-

ship means we encourage members of both teams, we keep all comments positive, and

we leave coaching to the coaches. This is youth sports, not the NFL. Criticizing, disre-

specting or heckling the officials, coaches or opponents will not be tolerated at all. The

same goes for abusive language. You are respons ible for family members and

friends attending the games. Help make this a positive and

fun experience for all! Be the role model of Sportsmanship!
