YOU ARE NOT LIVING IN AWE
IF…You are bored easily
You tend to be unimpressed or ungrateful
You don’t enjoy seeing beautiful sunsets
You don’t remember the last time you looked up at the stars
You aren’t excited to hear God speak or to speak to God
You spend a lot of time worrying or complaining
DEUTERONOMY 10:17, 20
“The LORD your God is…Lord of lords, the great
God, mighty and awesome…Hold fast to
Him.”
PSALM 47 & 48
“The Lord Most High is AWESOME. He is the Great King of all the earth…God reigns
above the nations…He is the Great Lord.”
PSALM 113 & 114
“The Lord is high above the nations; His glory is
higher than the heavens…Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord…
Praise the LORD!”
DID YOU KNOW?
There are between 100 and 170 billion galaxies in the observable universe.
There are between 100 trillion and a septillion stars (maybe more).
ROMANS 1:20
“Ever since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine
nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that
men are without excuse.”
DID YOU KNOW?
Every hormone circulating in the bloodstream will fit snugly inside the appropriate receptacle. Imagine a wind storm blowing all the mail for Chicago down a five mile stretch of the Outer Drive in that city, yet every letter and package is able to sort itself out and end up in the correct mailbox.
DID YOU KNOW?Merely turning to speak to a passenger while driving a car takes billions of neurons.
Every human body contains between 10 and 75 trillion cells. Every cell contains one billion compounds. That’s 75 sextillion (75,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) compounds per person—among these are 5 million proteins. Each cell has an assigned location, a lifetime role, hundreds of complex tasks to accomplish, and each cell is programmed to take care of its own needs and coordinate activities with billions of other cells in throughout the body every second.
DID YOU KNOW?Everything that transpires in the human body is controlled by the 3 billion base pairs that make up the 100,000 genes that form the 23 paired chromosomes within the nucleus of nearly every cell. The amount of information stored within a single nucleus is equal to 1000 encyclopedias, each with 1000 pages. Multiply that times 35 billion cells in the brain, not to mention the 10 or more trillion cells in a single body, and the amount of information moving about the body each second becomes astronomical.
DID YOU KNOW?
It takes several million cells just to move a finger.
Pound for pound, bones are stronger than steel, yet they are much lighter for mobility purposes.
It takes more than 50 muscles to make facial expressions; 32 to smile; 12 to move our eyes.
THANKFULNESS!
“Give thanks and proclaim His
greatness. Let the whole world know
what He has done!”
-Psalm 105:1
LUKE 9:29-36
“As He was praying, the appearance of His face changed, and His clothes
became as bright as a flash of lightening. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking
with Jesus…A cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were
afraid…a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have
chosen; listen to Him.”
1 JOHN 3:23
“We must believe in the name of His Son, Jesus
Christ, and love one another, just as He
commanded.”
