2. Ethnic encapsulation Ethnic exclusiveness and separatism. Participates primarily within their ethnic community, believes his/her ethnic group is superior to that of others
3. Ethnic identity clarification Able to clarify personal attitudes and develops a healthy sense of self and ethnic identity. Feels ethnic pride but same time feels respect for different ethnic groups

4. Biethnicity Have a healthy sense of ethnic identity, as well as in other ethnic culture. The individual also has a strong desire to function effectively in two ethnic cultures
5. Multiethnicity Able to function within several ethnic sociocultural environments. Understand, appreciate and share values, symbols and institutions of several ethnic cultures.
6. Globalism and global competency
Clarified, reflective and positive ethnic, national, and global identifications and the knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities needed to function in ethnic cultures within their own nation or with other nations.
