Connecting & Activating TruPulse 1. Connect Laser via Bluetooth or Cable
2. Start TerraSync on your device; From the Status Drop down menu, choose the Setup Menu and select External Sensors button.
Connecting & Activating TruPulse 3. Tap Properties next to Laser and from the drop down menu of Port,
set to the Comm port you when connected to the TruPulse and the Baud Rate to 4800. Tap OK. Check the box to the left of Laser and tap OK.

Distance-Bearing Laser Offset: TruPulse 360 models only
1. Click on the Setup Drop Down Menu and select Data. Now create or open an existing file. Next enter the Height difference between the bottom of the GPS antenna and the TruPulse sighting scope and hit OK.
Cont 2. From the Data Collect Screen, choose a feature to collect, by a tap on
Point_generic and then tap the Create button. Add a comment for the feature being created.
Cont 2. Fire the TruPulse 360 and the distance & bearing will automatically
download and come through on the screen. Press OK and then enter a comment if desired.
3. Repeat.

Connecting & Activating TruPulse
1. Configure your TruPulse to output data using one of the rangefinder protocols supported by ArcPad.
a. Click on the Options icon drop down list and select “Advanced Settings…”

4. Enable the correct rangefinder extension in ArcPad. Extensions are enabled and disabled on the Extensions tab of the Advanced Settings dialog box.
a. You will need to choose the “LaserTech Impulse” protocol for the TruPulse & Laser Technology laser rangefinders, then press “ok”

1. Select a layer for editing via the Start/Stop Editing tool, Quick Capture tool or the Table of Contents
2. Tap the Offset Button drop down

3. Set Reference Point A - By GPS or a current Feature

4. Shoot the target from Reference Point A using the TruPulse 360 laser. - TruPulse 360 measurement values will download into ArcPad.

5. Type the attributes for the new feature and press “0k” to see the offset point.
6. Repeat steps as necessary or from other features.
