TARANG MODULES (ZIGBEECOMPLIANT PLATFORM)

INTRODUCTION: Ready to use Low Power modules. These are the modules that power our tags, root and

routers. Standalone network using TarangMesh. For smaller campuses OR for situations where

Ethernet backbone is not present. Tarang modules will be running TarangMesh software.Tarang

router nodes at all vantage points / “cells”. The assets shall be tagged by Tarang based tags. This

would be a mobile node. The tags will emit a message every configured amount of time (ex. 1

min).The router which picked up the signal serves to identify the location of the tag. If multiple

RESISTIVE TOUCHSCREEN

INTRODUCTION:

A resistive touch screen is constructed with two transparent layers coated with a

conductive material stacked on top of each other. This is 4-wire resistive touch screen. When

pressure is applied by a finger or a stylus on the screen, the top layer makes contact with the

lower layer. When a voltage is applied across one of the layers, a voltage divider is created. The

coordinates of a touch can be found by applying a voltage across one layer in the Y direction and

reading the voltage created by the voltage divider to find the Y coordinate, and then applying a

voltage across the other layer in the X direction and reading the voltage created by the voltage

divider to find the X coordinate.

Once a touch is detected, the controller reads the x and y coordinates of the touch. To read the coordinates, the pins are configured as previously described to drive the X lines and set the Y sense pin as analog ADC inputs. Four ADC conversions are taken and averaged together to obtain the x coordinate reading. The same process is repeated to obtain the y coordinate.

PIR MOTION SENSOR MODULE

INTRODUCTION:

Compact and complete, easy to use Pyroelectric Infrared (PIR) Sensor Module for human body

detection. Incorporating a Fresnel lens and motion detection circuit, suitable for a wide range of

supply voltages and with low current drain. High sensitivity and low noise. Output is a standard

TTL active low output signal indicated by on board LED.

The PIR (Passive Infra-Red) Sensor is a pyroelectric device that detects motion by measuring

changes in the infrared levels emitted by surrounding objects. This motion can be detected by

checking for a high signal on a single I/O pin.

Module provides an optimised circuit that will detect motion up to 6 metres away and can be

used in burglar alarms and access control systems.

The PIR sensor and Fresnel lens are fitted onto the the PCB. This enables the board to be

mounted inside a case with the detecting lens protruding outwards, whilst still allowing easy

access to the controls inside the case.
