Evitar procesos de corrosión es algo muy serio en los astilleros navales. Los productos y sistemas que se encuentran a bordo, cada día tienen que enfrentar condiciones de trabajo extremas.

Con los sistemas de tubería de PPR la corrosión ya no constituye un problema. Garantizan una lar-ga duración de vuestros sistemas, ofreciendo un importante ahorro de los costes de instalación y gestión

Los accesorios con rosca ATP están revestidos en su interior por una capa de polipropiloeno para evitar el contacto del agua con los elementos me-tálicos.

El latón utilizado para nuestros accesorios de tubería es DZR (antidezincificación) certificado: aprobado y recomendado para su uso en ambien-te marino. DZR es un tipo de latón que es más re-sistente a la corrosión y evita el proceso de elec-trólisis. Sus cualidades estructurales hacen el la-tón idóneo para el uso en la industria naval, sien-do resistente a los cloruros y anhídrido carbónico.

With PPR piping systems, corrosion is no longer an issue. They guarantee the long service life of your systems, offering outstanding cost efficiency.

Our threated fittings are coated with a special film inside in order to prevent water contact with metal parts.

The brass used in our fittings is a certified DZR (stainless steel): it is approved and recommend-ed for use in the marine environment. DZR is a type of brass that is more resistant to corrosion and avoids the electrolysis phenomena. Its struc-tural qualities make it suitable for use in the shipbuilding industry, being resistant to chlo-rides and carbon dioxide.

REDUCCIÓN DE COSTES. Materias primas y bajos costes de producción porque necesitan tempe-raturas inferiores a las del tratamiento de me-tales. Además, los tiempos en el dique seco se reducen considerablemente gracias a la rapidez de los procesos de fabricación de los tubos de PPR a través del sistema para soldar. Estos tam-bién se pueden montar antes de la instalación a bordo.

CORROSIÓN. Las causas comunes de los proce-sos de corrosión son las corrientes galvánicas y de dispersión determinadas por la dispersión de la corriente, debida a instalaciones de corriente continua que utilizan el terreno para la puesta a tierra. Es un problema común en las tuberías de acero que puede provocar el rápido deterio-ro y el pinchazo de la cañería. Las tuberías de PPR están totalmente exentas de estos riesgos, siendo resistente a la herrumbre, a la agresión por parte de los agentes químicos y, refiriéndo-se específicamente al medio ambiente marino, a la salinidad, evitando el efecto perjudicial de la oxidación. Eso no es un detalle irrelevante porque, como consecuencia de estos fenóme-nos, las tuberías de acero se sustituyen cada tres años. Ni la difusión de nuevas tecnologías (como el revestimiento con capa protectora, cincados, pinturas) ni el mismo acero inoxidable han podi-do arreglar este problema.

REDUCCIÓN DE PÉRDIDAS ENERGÉTICAS. Los tubos de plástico tienen las superficies inter-nas muy lisas. Eso crea menor fricción al paso del fluido contribuyendo a reducir las pérdidas energéticas durante el transporte.

LIGEREZA. Este factor desempeña un papel muy importante a nivel general (como por ejemplo los costes inferiores de transporte) pero, especí-ficamente en el sector naval. Las tuberías de PPR son cinco veces más ligeras que las metálicas!

COST REDUCTION. Raw materials and lower production costs because they need lower temperatures than metalworking. Moreover, the dry dock time is reduced thanks to the rapid PPR tubes production processes through the welding system. These can also be assem-bled before installation on board.

CORROSION. The typical causes of the corro-sive processes are the galvanic and stray cur-rents. They are determined by the leakage cur-rent due to direct current installations that use the ground for earthing. In steel pipes this is a common problem that can lead to a rapid de-terioration and conduit drilling. PPR pipes are entirely free from these risks, being resistant to rust, attacks by chemical agents and, espe-cially referring to the marine environment, to saltiness avoiding the deleterious effect of ox-idation. This is not a negligible detail because steel pipes shall be replaced every three years on average due to such phenomena. Neither the diffusion of new technologies (such as a coating with protective films, zincings, paint-ings) nor the stainless steel itself could solve this problem.

DECREASE OF ENERGY LOSSES. The plastic pipes have rather smooth internal surfaces. This creates a lower friction as fluid passes through it, contributing to decrease the ener-gy losses during transport.

LIGHTNESS. This factor plays an extremely important role at a general level (for example lower transportation costs), but especially in maritime and offshore buildings. PPR pipes are five times lighter than the metal ones!
