Avantgarde is created with an eye for the simple and solid elegance with an exclusive touch, all characteris-tics for Scandinavian design, which makes Avant garde a timeless and sophisticated collection. Avantgarde is designed with focus on seat comfort and functionality, combine these assets with the Scandinavian design principles and the result is a unique collection.

Avantgarde is hand woven from an outdoor fibre on a strong hot-dip galvanized metal frame, which is pow-der coated to ensure a finish that can endure all wea-ther types and temperatures. As a result Avantgarde is maintenance free, weatherproof, washable, UV and tempe rature-resistant, environmentally friendly as well as extremely durable.

Avantgarde collection offers a great variety, which se-cure infinite combination possibilities, to meet every demand.

Avantgarde is the evident choice whether you want to have a cozy moment after a day at the water, relax after a set of tennis, or when celebrating with your friends with a glass of champagne. Avantgarde is a col-lection for individuals who wish to have unique and sty-lish outdoor furniture.

About Sika-Design

The company Sika-Design is a merger between the two very first manufacturers of rattan furniture in Scandi-navia: Horsnæs a/s (1940) and Sika Møbler a/s (1950), thus drawing on more than 70 years of experience with-in manufacturing and design of furniture. Ever since the day of founding, both companies have specialized in the manufacturing and distribution of high quality rattan and wicker furniture – custom-made and manu-factured to European standards and conditions. Sika Møbler was founded by Ankjær Andreasen, and today both 2nd and 3rd generation is joined in Sika-Design.

Alongside our sister company Cane-line, we have not only kept pace with the development of the market – we have in fact taken a lead position. Together we now hold the position as world-leading manufacturer of this specific type of woven furniture.

Our head office operates from our 12.000 m2 warehouse and office building, situated in Rynkeby, Funen. From here we distribute our furniture to more than 60 coun-tries around the world.
