From the HOD’S Desk

Greetings from Department of Electronics and communication science! I am happy to present the 3rd issue of the Newsletter ECS Avalanchee Drops of Electronics and communication science department. This issue of ECS department newsletter contains the major achievements and activities in the current year. You learn more from failure than from success . Leadership is the ability to get extraordinary achievement from ordinary people. My hearty Congratulations to S. Abinaya for Securing 35th rank in the University examination. I Congratulate our faculty members for their hardwork. I wish each one of them luck and success in all their future.

About our DepartmentStarted in the year 1999, the department is offering B.Sc Electronics and communication science, formerly known as B.E.S (Bachelor of Electronics). Hardworking and well experienced faculty imparts wisdom and motivation to develop leadership qualities to excel in electronic industry in the current society.The association is the pioneer to encouraging the students to organize and participate in the workshops, seminars and other competitions every year. According to swami vivekanadha dream requires effortless sleep; aim requires sleepless efforts. Sleep for dreams and wakeup for aims, is our motto. The department also conduct guest lectures, seminars, certificate courses, add on courses to enrich the knowledge of students in recent topics.

About ECS Avalanche DropsOnce again, we are happy to release the 2016 - 17, 3rd issue of ECS Avalanchee Drops of department of electronics and communication science, New prince shri bhavani arts and science college. The Intention of this issue is to create awareness & impart Knowledge about the activities and latest technology available in the present market to the department of Electronics and communication science. The current newsletter highlights the achievements of our faculty and students during the academic year 2016 - 2017. The idea behind ECS Avalanchee Drops is to insist the information about our department as well as college. So that the readers would find the issue useful and informative . We thank our management , Principal , faculty & Students for their Constant support and suggestions. We also welcome positive feedback which will motivate us to achieve a milestone.

VisionThe department is striving to become a centre of excellence in the field of priniciples of communication, digital electronics, Electrical and electronic instrumentation, microprocessor, microcontroller, embedded systems and VLSI.

Annual ReportWe feel honoured to extend a cheerful welcome to you all; your presence makes us very happy. I am very much delighted to present the annual report of our college. It has been another exciting year with so many highlights during the academic year 2016-17. It is often said “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence” Yes every school and college strives for excellence. Parent MeetingsWe conducted parents teachers meeting on 1st October for odd semester and 4th March for even semester in ECS lab. More than 10 parents attended the Meeting. One to One Interaction between Parents, Class Incharges, Faculty Handling Classes & Mentors. Discussion was focused on student’s specific strengths and weakness in individual subjects and students discipline in classrooms, Mobile usage in classrooms. Consolidated class wise CIA Marks, University results of previous semester and Fee Due List were shown to parents for their ready reference. Parents Feedback Hardcopy was taken for reference. Parents expressed their happiness for having their ward studying in our NPSB College. They also expressed their gratitude regarding the care taken by the college for the growth of their wards.

– 2017 conducted by Post Graduate Department of Electronics Science, Mohamed

Sathak College of Arts and Science.

� S.Krishna moorthy & E.Premkumar won II Prize in ELOPHIS’17 conducted by SRM

Arts and Science College in the Event Project Display.

� Kumara Rani Meena Muthiah College of Arts & Science conducted “ELECTROSOC” an

inter collegiate competition and our students Participated in various activities like Fun

Xerox, Project Display,etc..

� Also JBAS college for women conducted “ELECTROSPARK 2017” on 14th February

2017 and students Participated in Quiz and Project Display.

� Our student won prizes in the Exhibition conducted with the theme science and

technology for specially abled persons held on 28th February 2017 at New Prince Shri

Bhavani Arts and Science College, marking the event of National Science day.

engineering and technology on 1st & 2nd September 2016.

� Dr.K.M.Rajendiran & Mrs.T.V.Gayathri attended a International Seminar on “

Measurement of Quality publications: issues , challenges and opportunities ” conducted

by Periyar university , salem on 23rd November 2016.

� Dr.K.M.Rajendiran attended a National level seminar on “ Role of earth abundant and

nontoxic materials for solar cell applications ” conducted by Kongu engineering college

on 20th January 2017.
