Lipp. Spring Break Weekend It is my pleasure to invite you to join the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association and attend its Twenty-Fourth Annual Spring Break at the Westin Hotel in Annapolis, Maryland. We have adjusted this year’s program schedule to begin midday on Thursday May 7, 2020, followed by an all-day session on Friday May 8, 2020. A cocktail reception is again included in the price of admission and will be held at the beautifully rebuilt Annapolis Yacht Club at the conclusion of Thursday’s program. Our Friday luncheon will also include a special tribute in memory of the Honorable Wendelin I. Lipp. As anyone who has previously attended will tell you, the Spring Break seminar is the annual signature event of the BBA and should not be missed. The Spring Break Planning Committee has worked to ensure that our programming remains timely and compelling, imparting both knowledge and skills necessary in the daily practice of bankruptcy law. Whether your practice is focused on consumers or businesses, there is something for everyone with multiple breakout sessions directed to your specific interests. We are again fortunate to be joined this year by our wonderful bankruptcy judges from the District of Columbia, the District of Delaware, the District of Maryland and the Eastern District of Virginia. The attendance and participation of our judges sets our Spring Break apart by providing invaluable insight from the bench in an informal setting. We welcome members of the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association, Maryland State Bar Association Consumer Bankruptcy Section, Walter Chandler Inn of Courts, and Northern Virginia Bankruptcy Bar Association. We also welcome non-member consumer and business bankruptcy practitioners and non- bankruptcy lawyers alike. I look forward to seeing everyone at Spring Break for two days filled with fun, catching-up with old friends, or meeting new ones, and, of course, the discussion of bankruptcy law and practice.
