A new and promising children´s fashion label, Ígló Kids is fresh and modern with colourful clothes for happy kids. Every piece is comfortable and the design is practical with ingenious details such as ruffles, bows, elbow patches and prints. The fabrics are selected meticulously for quality and comfort.

Ígló is designed to wear, play and run all day!

Ígló Kids opened a Flagship Store in September last year at Reykjavík’s main shopping street, Laugavegur 39 in Iceland. The Ígló Kids collection finally got a cute little home! The store also sells the Ígló Kids team favourites: shoes from the Australian Baby Bloch, cute socks from Me In Mind, hand made dolls from Oddny, baby blankets from Sóley & Co, a Togo charity organization, beautifully decorated cotton wear from Soft Gallery and unique wool hats, hand knitted by Helga, Ígló Kids head designer.

The inspiration for this season comes from the artists: Chris Riddell who illustrated Ottolina’s world so beautifully, Meredith Gaston that conjures the most wonderful water color paintings, Jónsi s dreamy music, fairytale illustrations from Florence Helga Thibault, a French-Icelandic artist and my wonderful kids, Viktoría Þóra and Baldvin, who draw, cut and paste all day long.

Ígló Kids is a world remix of colours. From British traditional clothing we have navy, burgundy & plaid fabrics and from France we have dusty shades of colors & beautiful flower fabrics. From imaginary places we also have a brown bunny, a shy dragon, happy pink and polka dots.

I love designing kids wear. Every kid I meet is an inspiration. I admire their honesty, purity and their natural joy of life. I love their humour.

Kids are the most precious things in the world!

New Ígló CharactersPom Pom the bunny is a new Ígló character. My daughter, Viktoría Þóra, got a bunny for her 8 year birthday. She gave her the name Pom Pom. From day one Pom Pom´s behaviour was extremely gentle and relaxed. She was so cute that I was thinking about her every day at work, one day she became a drawing and a part of the Ígló Kids.

I felt that the Ígló world needed a rebel character. Lenny, the secret dragon, is that rebel. He´s a strong character and pretty stubborn but adored by many and makes friends easily. He never lets a friend down and is always there there when he is needed.
