Matavia Filigree is a beautiful looking 17.2 hh black/brown Elite Hanoverian mare. She was classified by Dr Ludwig Christmann from the Hanoverian Verband into the Main Stud Book with an average score of 8.0 and she was also the top scoring mare in Australia with a jumping score of 9.0 for scope. We purchased Fillie to be a broodmare for our stud and, when she was five years of age, she produced a super black filly by Riverside, which was also Highly Commended by Dr Christmann during the Annual National Tour. She is a lovely athletic moving mare and so we decided to further her training. Fillie has an excellent temperament and great work ethic, willingness and trainability and we kept going from there. She is now confident in four, three and two time flying changes and we are working on single changes. She is eight years old now and learning the Grand Prix movements.

Fellini’s sire, Ampere, was champion of his licensing and was also the clear winner of his stallion performance test with the highest scores. He earned 8.0 for walk, 9.0 for trot, 9.5 for canter, and 9.0’s for rideability, cementing his talent as a dressage sire for the future. The test riders praised him as the ‘best horse they had ridden in years’ and particularly praised his suppleness, self-carriage, and strong hind leg.
