The Project SEARCH programme celebrates success across Bath and North East Somerset council. Project SEARCH students and parents, as well as ex Project SEARCH students who are now council employees, took part in a Civic Reception in the Mayor’s Parlour. They had the opportunity to meet the then Mayor of Bath, Cllr Malcolm Lees and find out about the centuries-old mayorship. Our students also had the chance to sign the official visitors’ book. It was a very memorable experience for everyone.

“I delight in the task of helping young people with special needs uncover the skills, interests and motivation needed to open up real, tangible possibilities. So in a world that so often emphasises limitations, and points to what’s ‘out of reach’ and ‘inaccessible’, how lovely it is to experience an organisation with passionate staff, where students are affirmed, valued, and carefully directed towards becoming full, motivated and equal citizens within our community.”Adrian Snell – Music Therapist and Arts Therapy Consultant

“As someone who has been involved with students with learning difficulties for a long time, it was heartening to see an initiative that provides opportunities for employment. This is

something that has been lacking for some time, and I am pleased that City of Bath College is working in partnership with B&NES and Sirona to provide this long-awaited service.”
