    ISSUER SYSTEMThe Issuer applications support the business processes that enable the issuer to manage the smart card life cycle.

    The main issuer business processes supported include:

    Stock Management - Enables the issuer to manage card receipt, initialization, distribution to load agents, and inventory management.Card Master Validation - Transactions are validated against the Issuer’s database on card master account information and transaction history to detect fraud (e.g. duplicate transactions, transactions made on a hotlisted or unsold card).Card Master Inquiry - Allows cardholders to access card and transaction information via Web or IVRS interface.Refund Management - Provides a facility to receive and process refund applications from the cardholder.

    CLEARING HOUSE SYSTEMThe clearing house applications process transactions for settlement, generate settlement reports, manage centrally defined system parameters, and centrally track the smart card system equipment.

    SERVICE PROVIDER SYSTEMThe service provider applications enable the service providers to collect and validate transaction data, manage and track service provider smart card equipment, and generate ridership information.

    The generic service provider business processes supported include:
