About PLC

Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is a digitally operating electronic apparatus that uses a programmable memory for internal

storage of instructions for implementing specific functions.

Page 8: Automated Dish Washer v1.1.ppt

Advantages of PLC over uC

They are Proven Systems to work in Industrial environments

Direct Interoperability to other industrial devices

Very Rigid compared to microcontroller

No Programming background required

Formation of a High Pressure Water Jet:

A high pressure pump sucks water and accelerates it strongly.

The accelerated water runs through the pump system and gets to the high pressure nozzle.

And then nozzle produces the high pressure water jet.

Motor used for Conveyor Belt

Low-Speed Synchronous AC Motor

Motor rotates with speed proportional with the frequency.

Fluctuation in load does not affects the rotation.

Can be driven in both the directions.

Long rated life of 10,000 hours.

Water Level Indicator

Page 15: Automated Dish Washer v1.1.ppt

Water Level Indicator

There is no conductive path between the indicating probes and the common probe so it remains in cut off region.

Page 16: Automated Dish Washer v1.1.ppt

Water Level Indicator

There is a conductive path between the indicating probes and the common probe so BJT goes into active region.
