The Urus is Lamborghini’s planned SUV by the exotic sports-car brand and is expected for a 2017 launch if all goes well. Lamborghini hopes the Urus will become as popular or more so to its profits as the Porsche Cayenne has been

to the German auto maker. Lamborghini’s Urus will use the second generation of a platform used by Audi pas-senger cars expected to underpin the next generations of the Audi Q7, Porsche Cay-enne, and Volkswagen Touareg. Audi does own Lamborghini in fact, so also look for an Audi-derived 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V-8 as an engine choice along with a hybrid variation and a diesel V-8. The Urus will not be cheap –with a full performance and luxury specification com-peting with the upcoming Bentley SUV, BMW X6 M, Land Rover Range Rover Su-percharged, Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG, Porsche Cayenne Turbo. According to Lam-borghini, the Urus “will be priced similarly to the Lamborghini Huracán, sports car.” The Huracán sells in the US for $237,250, so the Urus would be the most expensive SUV in the market when it is on sale unless Ferrari has something in store!

2015 Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander and Outlander Sport named Safety Award Winners California: A pair of Mitsubishi Motors crossovers – the 2015 Outlander and 2015 Outlander Sport (RVR in Can-ada) – and the 2015 Lancer compact sports sedan (except Ralliart and Evolution) were named “Top Safety Pick” award recipients by the U.S.-based Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), an independent non-profit scientific and educational organization that researches, performs evaluations and assesses safety ratings in crash testing of production vehicles. The 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander was designated a “Top Safety Pick+” rated vehicle by the IIHS – the highest safety award designation offered by the organization – because of the availability of Forward Collision Miti-gation (FCM) technology that alerts drivers to a potential frontal collision with visual and audio alerts and automatically applies emergency braking to reduce the severity of the collision or help avoid it altogether. The 2015 Mitsubishi RVR/Outlander Sport earned an IIHS “Top Safety Pick” rating, marking the fourth straight year that the brand’s best-selling vehicle has achieved this safety designation, while the 2015 Mitsubishi Lanc-er was named a “Top Safety Pick” for the seventh consecutive year.Additional standard safety features found on the Mitsubishi Lancer, Outlander and RVR/Outlander Sport in-clude seven air bags, Active Stability Control, Traction Control Logic, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, and Anti-lock braking system with Electronic brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist.

Nissan surpasses Sales of 100,000 vehicles in Canada for the first timeNissan announced that for the first time in Canada the brand has achieved sales of 100,000 units within a calendar year, breaking the previous record of 82,604 in 2013. The milestone was reached yesterday when a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum was sold to Mr. Rikki Solitario at Willowdale Nissan in Thornhill, Ontario.“This is a wonderful achievement to share with our employees and dealer network during the holiday season and is the direct result of hard work, part-nership with our dealers and planning to bring the right cars to Canadians,” says Christian Meunier, president of Nissan Canada Inc. “This was a particularly exciting year for the Canadian team with the launch of the Nissan Rogue and Micra, both very successful in Canada. Since Micra arrived in dealerships in April 2014 with the lowest starting MSRP in Canada of $9,998, sales have exceeded 7,000 units, while sales of Versa Note have continued to increase with over 12,000 units sold CYTD. Together, Nissan’s share of the entry-level segment is 22 per cent at the end of November. The excite-ment around Micra will continue next year with the launch of the 2015 Nissan Micra Cup – Canada’s most affordable rac-ing series featuring Canada’s most af-fordable car. The Nissan Rogue continues to be a hot seller in the compact crossover segment and is the top seller in the line-up with 26,729 units sold up to the end of November, up 78 per cent year-over-year. Rogue hits the mark with great design, high utility, an ample interior and the right level of equipment while being easy-to-manoeuver in the city, fuel efficient and affordable. Added to that is the availability of the Nissan intuitive all-wheel drive system, and it is clear why the car is so popular.Nissan continues to dominate the all-electric segment with the Nissan LEAF which has surpassed sales of 1,020 units for 2014, an increase of over 130 per cent for the same period last year.

Chevrolet completed one of its most success-ful years in its motorsports history in 2014, earning five manufacturer and six driver

championships in NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA, United SportsCar Championship and Pirelli World Challenge series. In addition, Chevrolet drivers won sev-eral noteworthy races in 2014, includ-ing the Daytona 500, Brickyard 400, and IndyCar Dual in Detroit, NHRA U.S. Nationals and the 24 Hours of Daytona.“Eleven championships mark one of our most successful racing sea-sons,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles and Motorsports. “Winning races and champi-onships on the track helps us develop bet-ter cars and powertrains for the showroom.”Chevrolet’s wins in 2014 came on road courses, ovals and drag strips. Season highlights include NASCAR Sprint Cup– Kevin Harvick, driver of the #4

C h e v -rolet SS,

won the final race

of the season to capture the

NASCAR Sprint Cup championship

– and helped high-light Chevrolet’s record-

extending 12th consecu-tive Manufacturer Cup

NASCAR Nationwide – Chase Elliott – the 18-year-old son of NASCAR leg-end Bill Elliott – captured the series championship behind the wheel of the #9

Chevrolet Camaro. The title makes Elliott the youngest champion of a NASCAR national series and helped Chevrolet earn the series’ manufacturer award (the

first such title for Camaro in the series).IndyCar – Driving the #12 Chevrolet, Will Power claimed 15 top-10 finishes – includ-

ing three wins – on his way to his first drivers’ championship. Power’s three wins com-bined with nine other Chevy victories to help Chevrolet clinch its third straight manu-

facturer title. Power and Helio Castroneves also drove Chevrolet to a sweep of the two IndyCar races at the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix.

The 2015 Chevrolet Spark, Volt, Malibu and Equinox have been named 2015 Insurance Institute for Highway Safety Top Safety Picks. The designation goes to models that

achieve a good or acceptable rating in the challenging small overlap front test – introduced in 2012 – and a good rating in each of the Institute’s four other crashworthiness evaluations – moder-ate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints.“Receiving this recognition from IIHS for the 2015 Spark, Volt, Malibu and Equinox is great news for Chevrolet and even greater news for our customers,” said Steven Majoros, director, Chevrolet Cars and Crossover Marketing.

IIHS is a non-profit organization wholly

supported by auto insur-ers. For 2015, the number of models

earning either the Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ awards rose from 39 to 71 compared to a year ago.

“Consumer metric programs such as IIHS Top Safety Pick and NHTSA NCAP provide our customers with information to make comparisons across vehicle manufacturers for a given market segment. Having these four vehicles named 2015 IIHS Top Safety Picks is a great achievement,” said Jeff Boyer, GM vice president, Global Vehicle Safety.

One of the most iconic performance Mustang name-plates of all time is returning, Ford confirmed recently with the reveal of the all-new Shelby® GT350 Mus-

tang. The original Shelby GT350 introduced in 1965 established Mustang’s performance credentials with superb perfor-mance and racing pedigree. The all-new Shelby GT350 Mus-tang, featuring the most powerful naturally aspirated Ford production engine ever, is destined to be a world-class per-formance vehicle, designed to tackle the planet’s most chal-lenging roads – an all-day track car that’s also street legal.Ford engineers took an innovative approach with GT350. Rather than develop individual systems to perform well in-dependently, every component and shape is optimized to work in concert; balance is the key. While paying rigorous attention to detail, the team pushed the envelope with cut-ting-edge materials and technologies. The new 5.2-liter engine is the first-ever production V8 from Ford with a flat-plane crankshaft, an architecture typically found only in racing applications or exotic European sports cars.

The result is the most powerful naturally aspirated produc-tion Ford engine ever, at more than 500 horsepower, with a torque peak above 400 lb.-ft. The track capability is enhanced by the output characteristics of the engine – the 5.2-liter V8 features an exceptionally broad torque curve. Combined with its high-revving ability, the flat-plane 5.2-liter V8 gives drivers an enormous amount of performance and flexibility within each gear of the lightweight six-speed manual trans-mission. A standard Ford-tuned Torsen limited-slip differen-tial optimizes cornering grip and straight-line traction. The new Mustang platform is the strongest in the history of the brand, with torsional stiffness increased 28 percent over the previous model. That stiff structure ensures the suspen-sion geometry remains consistent, even under hard driving on back roads and tracks. Front stiffness is further improved on GT350 with a cutting-edge injection-molded carbon fiber composite grille opening and optional lightweight tower-to-tower brace. The front track has been increased while spring rates and bushings have been recalibrated all around, with ride height reduced compared to Mustang GT.Due to the significant speeds the car can develop, GT350 fea-

tures the most track-credible brake system ever offered on a Ford vehicle in terms of absolute stopping power, fade resis-tance and brake pedal feel. The brakes are two-piece cross-drilled iron discs mounted to aluminum hats. At the front are massive 394-millimeter rotors clamped by Brembo six-piston fixed calipers with integrated caliper bridges, while 380-millimeter rotors at the rear utilize four-piston calipers.GT350 makes use of extra-stiff 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels – 10.5 inches wide in front, 11.0 inches in the rear – clad in state-of-the-art Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with GT350-specific sidewall construction, tread face and com-pound. The custom tires are designed to deliver maximum grip on the road or at the track. The new aluminum hood has been lowered and sloped, com-pared to the base Mustang, tightly wrapped around the en-gine for the smallest possible aerodynamic signature. Front and rear aero elements have been balanced to work togeth-er on the track. The fascia has been resculpted to provide the aggressive lower front splitter with maximum pressure and a ducted belly pan delivers significant downforce. The GT350 will be available for special order in Ford showrooms soon.

The legend is back! Shelby GT350 Mustang is the ultimate muscle car

2015 Nissan Micra: $9,998 - Price beating sub-compact is here!

Wow! How did they do it? Nissans brand new 2015 Micra four –door subcompact hatchback comes in a bank- balance friendly price of $9,998 Canadian for

the base S model. And it’s no flimsy, tinny looking small car with tiny three stud wheels and an anemic 900cc engine. In fact, the Micra is a substantial, high-widowed car with a nice chunky look to it; big headlights, a tidy grille and neat vertical rear for the hatch-back tailgate make it look distinctive and fresh. All models are powered by a 1.6-litre four cylinder engine with a choice of a five speed manual transmission or a four speed autobox. The base model S Micra priced at the much advertised $9,998 does not look cheap by any means. You won’t find remote power door locks- as it takes an old fashioned key to lock and unlock and the windows are hand cranked- however all the important the stuff is there in terms of safety. Standard on the base Micra S are ABS brakes, an AM/FM/CD player with an auxiliary input, a five-speed manual transmission, durable cloth upholstery and airbags. The SV trim adds an extra chrome garnish on the grille, heat-ed and body-coloured side mirrors, remote keyless entry and

power windows. It starts at $13,698. The sporty SR version is also available with a rear roof spoiler, side sill spoilers, front foglights, 16-inch alloy rims and contrast-stitch seats. It costs $15,748. There is also an optional $500 convenience package, which includes a backup camera and an upgraded sound sys-tem with 4.3-inch colour display. The interior of the Nissan Micra is neat and well finished with an all-black theme. Good quality hard plastics prevail at this price point and are matched with durable fabric covered seats front and rear. The dash is well executed with simple clear leg-ible instruments; other controls are simply arranged and easy to use. The front seats are comfortable and driver and front passengers have plenty of room in all quarters. Front storage is at a premium though with no center console for bits and pieces and the cup holders are in front of the floor gear shift – which is odd. The rear cabin is a little cramped for those passengers who are tall or on the large side although mercifully the two rear doors allow for easy access and exit. The hatchback cargo area is also tight, although the rear seats do fold for more cargo room.

On the road, the decision to give the Micra a decently sized 1; 6 liter engine pays off as the Nissan has lively acceleration and pickup. Around town and on the highways – the Nissan never feels breathless and weak on power. The five-speed manual transmission on the base model I tested is also a good per-former with slick precise gear changes and a nice easy clutch action. Brakes are good with its front discs and rear drum with ABS. Natural Resources Canada rate the Micra’s fuel economy at (L/100 km) 6.6/8.8/7.7 highway/city/ combined. All in all, I found the Nissan Micra in its base form to be a hugely enjoyable car to drive with its nippy acceleration, simple controls, responsive engine and a complete lack of pretension. True, the low base price gives you a no frills basics car without any electronic gadgetry or fancy luxury and con-venience features, but it is still a Nissan with excellent build quality and value- plus a great warrantee. Still the various trim levels and options can allow you to load the car up with the features you want. As reliable, basic transportation or as a decent first car the Nissan Micra is hard to beat on both price and quality. Highly recommended. 2015 Nissan Micra base priced from $9,998 to $16,733.

Top Ten Reasons to Buy

a Vehicle from an Auto Dealer

Considering buying from a dealer but have your reserva-tions? Buying a vehicle from a dealership can often be the simplest option for some buyers. Dealerships can

also be a great place to begin shopping for a car painlessly and quickly. Dealers must adhere to stringent operating/selling proce-dures. This means you’re less likely to be cheated or burdened with a lemon nowadays, especially if the dealership belongs to a trade association. And unlike private sellers, registered deal-ers provide warranties on vehicles, often new or used.Dealers are also in a position to offer attractive financ-ing options and can be easily contacted should problems arise. No more trying to track down a dodgy buyer who sold you a faulty car on the side street via a cellphone number that no longer works properly. Big dealerships have fully equipped work-shops and vehicles are inspected by certified factory trained techni-cians. Dealers offer certified cars and have staff to help with the insurance titling and registration process. Dealership have had a bad rap, but the old high pressure business tactics are large-ly gone. It is now about building relation-ships and keeping people coming for that next car that’s importantJohn Bond –General Manager at Pinnacle Car Sales and leasing in Surrey run a dealership specializing in more unusual kinds of vehicles and says a dealer can offer more unique, bespoke tailored services to vehicle buyers. “We sell the exotic and rare vehicles and whatever we sell gets a full Autocheck by a third party inspector. We recognize that customers have high expectations when it comes to purchas-ing a specialist vehicle and that where a dealer like us stand by what we sell. “ John also adds, “One thing about dealer like us is if we sell a high-end vehicle; at some point we would like to see it back here for a trade. So we want to initially sell a vehicle that will last and come back to us in good condition when the time is right for the customer. Only a dealer can offer services like that.” New car dealer also offer many other services simply not avail-able from private buyers. Harry Oberoi- New Car Sales Man-ager from Kia Vancouver says, “It is about empowering our customers with the right infor-mation to find a vehicle to suit their needs. If they come to

our store on Marine Drive in Vancouver customers can browse the Pre-Owned Specials for up-to-date promotions, or check out Kia Vancouver’s Featured Vehicles, highlighting select ve-hicles from our entire inventory. If we do not currently stock your ideal vehicle, a would-be buyer can simply complete the CarFinder form and Kia Vancouver will begin the search!” Brian Golliman, a former top Vancouver Chevrolet dealer for over 30 years says. “At a dealership it’s not a one-off transaction any longer

- dealers and their sale people are professionals who are dedi-cated consultants, providing you an extra level of reliance and comfort as you select the right vehicle – they do want to see you back and so go that extra mile in terms of service. You won’t get that with a private buyer or a deal on Craigslist or EBay, get it wrong and it can be a very expensive mistake.” These tips below explain why buying from a dealership might be the right choice for you.

1. Guaranteed TitleWhen you buy a car from a licensed motor dealer

you’re guaranteed the title to that vehicle. If there is any money owing to a financer on the car

from a previous owner, it’s covered by the dealer.

2. Warranty for peace of mindDealers offer a statutory warranty on all new cars and on used cars. Dealer-ships even offer to extend warranties if cars are out of factory warrantee for a

fee.

3. Finance, insurance and moreWith expert staff that can help with financing

and insuring your car purchase, dealers often of-fer more than just the car as well as optional extras

to protect your investment from fabric and paint pro-tection to adding the right accessories to suit your needs.

4. Specialist adviceDealers are experts when it comes to cars and can provide specialist advice on which vehicle best suits your needs and budget. High pressure selling is largely a thing of the past - sales staff is more interested in building a relationship with buyers for the long term.

5. Trade in old for newAlmost all dealers will take trade-ins, allowing you to drive in and out on the same day you pick up your new car.

6. Under the hood checksWhen a dealer sells a vehicle, he also sells his reputation and the last thing he needs is an un-happy customer. Dealers will often put cars through their paces in a workshop inspection before putting them up for sale.

7. Trusted servicing and repairsAll franchise dealers and many specialized used car dealers offer workshop and servicing facilities as well as spare parts to keep your car running smoothly long after you’ve taken delivery. Many dealers will provide discounts or specials for customers that have purchased the car from them too.

8. Added convenienceDealers offer a choice of cars all in one location, and in many cases will even bring a car you’re interested to your home or office for a test drive - how easy is that?

9. Local community involvementMany large dealerships often contribute to their local community through sponsorships, whether that’s helping out the local football club, hospital, little athletics and more. Buying from a dealer means supporting local people, providing jobs and supporting the local economy.

10. Code of ethicsDealers are often members of the Motor Trades Association in their province, and members have a strict code of ethics that they operate within their business.

Taking care of your timing belt may help you save big on car repairs down the road. Why? The belt’s name says it all: it keeps all of your engine’s parts moving together at the right time.

A car timing belt connects the crankshaft and camshaft of your car’s engine. Think of it as a per-fectly timed circular conveyer belt that brings the energy your engine produces to the shaft. It keeps your wheels rotating. If the timing belt slips or breaks; your engine may get damaged, too.As a rule of thumb check and consider replacing your timing belt – about every 80,000 kilome-tres or on regular scheduled auto maintenance check. The timing belt is made of durable, heat-resistant rubber and withstands the constant work you demand of it, up to a point. If you have a newer car, you need to think about replacing the timing belt every 80,000 to 160,000 kilometres – roughly every five to eight years. Your mechanic will let you know, and so will an owner’s manual for your make and model.

What could possibly happen if you forget to replace the belt? Vigilance is the way to avoid deal-ing with a worn-out timing belt. It may not give out clear warnings. It may just break altogether. This means the engine will simply stop, no matter where you are. Obviously, this can be very dangerous. Usually the result is a bent valves, damaged pistons, camshafts and a multitude of mechanical fix its – none of them cheap or easy and demanding considerable labour and parts costs or heaven forbid- a new complete engine! How does one know when to check the timing belt? Your failing timing belt may give you a lucky break by sending out a few warning signs. Get to your mechanic as soon possible if you notice any of these problems:

• Lots of exhaust because the engine is firing more• Hard to start the engine, especially if you have high mileage• Your car runs hot and the engine leaks onto the timing belt• Your car shakes because your engine’s timing is way off

Go to your reliable auto repair garage No tools, no experience removing engine parts and no clue what a tensioner is? Replacing a timing belt is not an automotive project for you. Instead, sit back, relax and let your auto mechanic take care of the car timing belt.

The all-new 2015 TLX was designed to deliver a unique and compelling blend of sports-sedan athleticism and premi-um luxury refinement. With a new redesign inside and out

and more technology and driver aids- the new TLX has firmly set its sight on the BMW,AUDI, Cadillac, Infiniti, Lexus and Mercedes competition in its crosshairs. The base front-wheel-drive model, has revised 206-horsepower 2.4-litre 16-valve, four-cylinder engine under its hood, con-nected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with torque converter. For handling ability, it comes with the latest iteration of Acura’s Precision All-Wheel Steer (P-AWS). Meanwhile the TLX V6 offers a 290-hp 3.5L 24-valve V6 engines hooked up to a nine-speed automatic and is available with either P-AWS or Super-Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD). The base, well-equipped,

four- cylinder TLX starts at a very surprising $34,990. The V6 with standard Tech package is priced at $41,690, while the V6 SH-AWD starts at $39,990. The 2015 Acura TLX V6 we tested had a very high tech looking interior with sumptuous black leather seats, wood trim detailing on the doors and center console and metal trim bits and pieces. The interior has gone very high tech with the gear shifter now replaced by center console mounted switches for the gears and parking brake. Most of the car’s interior functions are now oper-ated by a central touch screen display system that I found easier and more logical to use than most of the Acura’s competitors. Opt for the Elite package and you gain amazing technology that provides all the comfort, convenience and occupant safety you could imagine such as in a suite of technology known as “Acura

Watch”, comprising of BSI (blind spot information), FCW (forward collision warning), LDW (lane departure warning), LKAS (lane keeping assist system), RDM (road departure mitigation), ACC with LSF (adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow) and CMBS (collision mitigation braking system). Forward Collision Warning, Expanded View Driver’s Side Mirror, and new Cross Traffic Monitor are just a few of the more advanced safety tech items offered. All TLX models are fitted with an upgraded version of Acura’s In-tegrated Dynamics System (IDS), which, through four selectable modes — Econ, Normal, Sport and Sport+. Depending on the driver chosen setting, IDS will adjust the following parameters: power-steering effort, throttle response, transmission shift logic, and heating/air conditioning system operation, active sound control and the control logic for either the P-AWS or SH-AWD systems. Our tester was equipped with the 290 hp direct injected 3.5L V6 and utilized variable cylinder management to run on three cyl-inders when the power demand is low, which delivers maximum fuel efficiency. Acura claims the V6 returns fuel economy similar to that of the competitor’s turbo-charged four cylinder engines. On the road, our test V6 model TLX delivered excellent accelera-tion and handling in all situations. The V6 engine is a responsive, powerful smooth revving unit and offers good acceleration and passing power. Acura’s electro-mechanical Precision All Wheel Steering (P-AWS) and Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive (SH-AWD) with torque vectoring delivers excellent control, grip and predictable handling on all road surfaces. The well-calibrat-ed sports steering also offers well sorted maneuvering in and around town or on the highway for quick passing. Passenger comfort is also well assured with the firm, yet forgiving sports suspension. The 2015 TLX is a mature, competent sports sedan that offers an astounding amount of value with its technology, engineering, features, luxury and comfort for a very attractive price. It been a favorite of mine over the years and this genera-tion is the best so far – and seriously keeps it in the game. Well worth a test drive and worthy consideration.

2014 Acura TLX Pricing (four cylinder from $34,990) V6 Tech$39,990 - $43,890. V6 Elite $45,290 - V6 Elite $47,490. Plus freight and PDI.

The new Infiniti “Q” series replaces the outgoing “M” se-ries of Infiniti’s flagship sedan. The new Q70 sedan that recently came my way is a handsome, beautifully

detailed five- passenger cruiser with full sporting and luxury credentials. The base and Sport model Q70s are powered by a 330-horse-power 3.7-litre V6 engine and teamed with a seven-speed au-tomatic transmission with adaptive shift control and down-shift rev matching. The Infiniti Q70 is offered in two versions- a very well equipped Premium model and Deluxe trim that adds features such as intelligent cruise control, lane departure warning as well as blind spot warning and intervention systems.Interestingly there is also a Limo –like long wheelbase Q70L model available with an extra six- inches of legroom in the rear along with rear heated seats powered by a 416-hp 5.6- litre V8. Meanwhile the hybrid powered Q70 is motivated by a 302-hp 3.5-litre V6 and 67-hp rated electric motor producing a respectable 360-hp. The Sport trim adds: larger brakes and wheels sport steering and upgraded suspension components paddle shifters crafted from magnesium and adjustable sport seats for a – well sportier driving experience. All models are equipped with a four driving mode selector — standard, eco, sport and snow. Our tester was a 2015 Infiniti Q70 3.7 AWD Base Priced at an MRSP of $52,000. Optional factory equipment included: $5,500 Deluxe Touring and Tech Package comprising of Bose Surround Sound Audio Package, Power Rear sunshade, Semi Aniline Leather seats, Unique Ash and Metal Trim, Intelligent Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention, Blind Spot Intervention, Forest Air Conditioning, 20- Inch Tri- Split 5 spoke wheels. Also included was the Premium Pack-age at $4,900- made up of Bose Ten- Speaker Package, Voice Recognition System, Infiniti HD Communication System, Infiniti Telematics Security, Safety and Convenience Service System with one free year of use, 8- inch VGA Color Touch Screen, Blue Tooth streaming audio, Climate Controlled front seats, Heated steering wheel, Total Option came to $10,400. Total price for our tester with options, freight and PDE came to $64,395.Safety technology is also high with lane guidance and warn-ing system and Active Lane Control, which uses a camera-based lane marker detection system to keep the car in designated road lanes. Meanwhile, the Predictive Forward Collision Warning (PFCW) system can warn driver of risks they may not see is enhanced by its ability to sense the relative velocity and distance of a vehicle directly ahead and also two vehicles ahead.

2015 Infiniti Q70 3.7 AWD:

2015 Chevrolet Corvette:

Interior wise, the Q70 offers a typical high-grade Infiniti cabin. Sumptu-ous leather seats and trim, fine wood inlays, soft textured plastics, and metal trim meet, greet and cosset you. Of note- is the classy driver-cen-tric interior layout that now uses even better materials, colors and design tricks. General workmanship, fit and finish are excellent. The seats are comfortable and driver ergonomics are superb. On the road using the Standard driver selectable drive mode means a softer - more forgiving and slight less feel in everything from steering and suspension control. This is good for when ferrying around the in-laws! However Sport mode changes things as the Q70’s steering tightens up and becomes a shade sharper and the transmission’s shifts tighter and more defined. Together with responsive and willing V6, the Q70 becomes an entertaining, fast and exciting sports sedan. Acceleration is rapid but controlled with lots of passing and high speed cruising speed. Fuel economy in the V6 Q70 is rated at 13.2 L/100km in the city and 9.6 L/100km on the highway. To sum up, the 2014 Infiniti Q70 is a very compe-tent sports sedan with technology, innovation, luxury and performance that cannot be ignored. Options can increase the price dramatically, but that’s always the case in this sector. A wonderful car to drive and own
