    LECTUREMETHOD

    Lecture is a teaching method where aninstructor is the central focus of informationtransfer.

    The basic purpose of lecturing is thedissemination of information.

    Students are expected to take notes while

    listening to the lecture.

    Usually, very little exchange occurs betweenthe instructor and the students during a lecture.

    PROSOF LECTUREASA TEACHING METHOD:

    Lectures are a straightforward way to impartknowledge to students quickly.

    Instructors also have a greater control overwhat is being taught in the classroom becausethey are the sole source of information.

    Students who are auditory learners find thatlectures appeal to their learning style.

    CONSOF LECTUREASA TEACHING METHOD:

    Students strong in learning styles other thanauditory learning will have a harder time beingengaged by lectures.

    Students who are weak in note-taking skills willhave trouble understanding what they shouldremember from lectures.

    Students can find lectures boring causing themto lose interest.

    Students may not feel that they are able to askquestions as they arise during lectures.

    Teachers may not get a real feel for how muchstudents are understanding because there isnot that much opportunity for exchangesduring lectures.

    QUESTIONAND ANSWERMETHOD

    Asking and answering questions is a form ofactive learning that has a place within anyclassroom format.

    Questions asked by the instructor can involvestudents more fully in a lecture, leading todeeper understanding of course material.

    Questions asked by students offer anopportunity to clarify material and they alsoprovide feedback for the instructor.

    Giving students the chanceto ask the teacher to knowthings that have not beenunderstood by the students

    Teachers can find out untilwhere the students abilityreceive everything thatexplained.

    If there are differentopinions ,it will take andrequire long time

    when askingquestions, although thereare still relationship withthe subject beingdiscussed.
