• Home Affairs will only enter into an MRA after it has assessed the
compatibility of the equivalent Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)
program in accordance with standards set by the World Customs
Organization (WCO).

Trader Identification Number (TIN)
• Recognition of Trusted Traders overseas, by
Australia’s MRA partners, will be facilitated
through the implementation of a unique global
identifier, a Trader Identification Number (TIN).
• The TIN will reduce red tape for Australian
exporters seeking to access a lighter touch in
markets where Australia has an MRA.
