Neiked’s Sexual is up from #7 to #3 on TMN’s Hot 100 and is starting to seriously threaten James Arthur’s three week reign at #1, thanks largely to Nova, who are also pushing Nevada’s The Mack pretty heavily.

KIIS has gotten behind Jessica Mauboy’s rendition of Avicii’s Wake Me Up, which is currently their most played track. Meanwhile, the Hit Network is supporting Hailee Steinfeld’s Starving, contributing to her #1 on the Hot 100 QLD chart.

Jonas Blue’s latest banger By Your Side - his attempt at straight-up EDM - has gone over well with radio. It’s currently the #1 most moved track on the Hot 100 Heatseekers chart, down from #87 to #24.

Nick Murphy, FKA Chet Faker, is at #3 on the Hot 100 Breakers this week after his new single Stop Me came out in the middle of the week. We can expect that to break through into the lower Hot 100 next week with alternative radio bound to jump on it.

AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL CHARTS

Haunting, amply pounding and truly giant, Saint Lo may be Megan Washington’s first single in two years, but it’s proof she hasn’t lost any of the thrilling complexity that made 2014’s There There so mesmerising.

Written and recorded in L.A. with producers Eric J Dubowsky (Flume, Chet Faker) and Dave Hammer (Thundamentals), Saint Lo follows her two post-breakup indie pop opus’ Limitless and There There, neither of which impacted the ARIA chart, but both considered songwriting victories.

With an APRA, an ARIA and a Jazz Bell Award already under her belt, along with a Platinum certification for debut album, I Believe You Liar, Washington could be teasing her most critically acclaimed long-player to date.

Listen here.

Peking Duk’s Stranger has moved to the top of the Shazam Future Hits chart, overthrowing Illy’s Catch 22. The move coincides with the track’s increased support at radio, although it only has one more week in the chart before it reaches the four-week cut-off for the Future Hits section.

Rather Be hit-makers Clean Bandit claimed the top of the Shazam Movers chart with Rockabye, their latest cut featuring Sean Paul & Anne-Marie. Rae Sremmurd’s position at #5 with Black Beatles coincides with the huge success it saw on its first week at radio. It gained plenty of traction on the back of an alternative service to radio and is already seeing cross-over at commercial.

Swedish rapper and alternative youth ‘sad boy’ icon Yung Lean overthrew Dua Lipa’s hold on #1 on the Pandora Predictions chart. The rapper had an eventful week following the first single from his new punk band Död Mark (Drabbad av sjukdom, translation: Diseased) as well as his collaboration with Dean Blunt on Fronto Kings.

At the top of the Spotify Viral chart is sage nebulous’ Harambe’s Night Out while former #1, I Got Bitches by A2M, dropped to #2.

Shine was written by Sydney artist William Vandermade (Vander), Sahaj Ticotin, and record producer Jeff Blue, the multi-platinum A&R exec who “discovered” and signed Linkin Park and Macy Gray. Produced in Los Angeles for Vander’s Venus EP, the sunny Californian influences are evident. The name of the song sets the key lyrical themes throughout the recording with an in-your-face stimulating chorus giving the nod to empowerment, positivity and celebrating self - all key elements in branding.

The ‘80s styling is strong on this track, an upbeat, highly-shined mix of pop, funk and sing-along chants, Shine sends a feel-good message to the masses.

So shine, you can open up the world to me And time will never pass us by

So show me who I’m meant to be Just take control and set it free And I’ll hold on to what I find

Brisbane band’s Sheppard’s upcoming second album is undergoing an extra spurt of exposure in Australia. Lead single We Belong is being used by Seven Network in its trailer to promote the February 2017 return of the second-highest rating show of 2016, My Kitchen Rules. The campaign lasts through the summer with the Sheppard track mixed with long-time theme song, Justice Crew’s Best Night. But speculation is that come February, We Belong will replace Best Night as its theme song after six years.

RAC, aka multi-instrumentalist André Allen Anjos, first gained attention for his lauded remixes of songs by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ (Zero) and the Shins (Sleeping Lessons). Now with Back of the Car, his soaring, guitar-driven collaboration with long-time friend Nate Henricks, the Grammy nominee is soundtracking a year-long campaign for car manufacturer Mitsubishi.

Having kicked off on September 7, the spot features across TV and online for 12 months.

The lead single from You Am I’s iconic Hi Fi Way album (1995) helped tell the story of the ratbag art collective which cut its teeth in a garage in Eastern Sydney, who wound up promoting local creativity through a clothing label and highlighting society’s hypocrisy along the way. Featured in the opening scene of the ABC TV-screened film Mambo: Art Irritates Life, Cathy’s Clown was hand-picked by writer/director Paul Clarke.

The film screened on November 1 on ABC TV and was later viewed on iView, then free-to-air, Pay TV and online via download.

The demise of a relationship never felt so graceful. The two talent show alumni and powerhouse vocalists have teamed up on Hurt Anymore, a soaring pop ballad targeted at commercial radio.

Written by Iain James (Little Mix, One Direction, Olly Murs, Leona Lewis and Craig David) and Jez Ashurst (Boyzone), the single should receive across-the-board additions following the pair’s performance of the duet tonight on The X Factor.

Both Samantha Jade and Cyrus have a proven track record when it comes to their solo work. Samantha Jade has sold over 700,000 units, 15.5million Spotify streams and multi-Platinum singles. Cyrus has had a #1 iTunes single with his debut album Stone and over 5 million Spotify streams.

Peking Duk’s Stranger ended Sia’s hold on the Hot 100 Australian chart last week, forcing The Greatest down to #2.

Kid Cudi’s Surfin’ has taken #1 on the Hot 100 Alternative chart, no doubt a good sign for its commercial service, which started today. The track was #2 on the triple j Spins chart.

Adelaide MC Tkay Maidza ended The Laruels’ Sonicology three-week run at #1 with her latest single Simulation on the Amrap Metro chart.

Australian vocal powerhouse Nicole Millar saw continued love for her recent hit Signals, which made it to the top of the triple j Hit List. The track, only just a few weeks old, sits at #3 on the overall spin chart for triple j. Sticky Fingers had another successful week with former #1 Sad Songs now at #3. The group are still a favourite of the youth broadcaster, currently at #4 on their Spins chart.
