About the 2017 ALIA National Library and Information Technicians’ Symposium The 2017 ALIA National Library and Information Technicians’ Symposium will provide a unique opportunity for library technicians from around Australia to meet together in the formal setting of a structured program, to hear prominent members of the profession, as well as their peers, speak and debate contemporary issues relating to the profession, professionalism and library work in general. The Symposium will take place at the Australia Catholic University’s North Sydney campus, from Wednesday 27th – Friday 29th of September 2017, and will include an engaging program of tours, workshops, sessions and keynote speakers.

Terms and conditions

1. By signing and returning this agreement you are agreeing to a non-exclusive sponsorship agreement between yourselves and the Australian Library and Information Association on the terms and conditions set out below and in the agreement.

2. The 2017 ALIA National Library and Information Technicians’ Symposium will be held at the Australian Catholic University North Sydney campus from 27th – 29th of September 2017.

3. Sponsorship applications will be acknowledged in writing on receipt. Confirmation of acceptance of your application will be sent in writing together with a tax invoice.

4. Sponsorship package entitlements will commence only on payment of all monies owing. Full payment is requirement within 14 days from date of invoice unless your sponsorship application is submitted on or after 12 June 2017 in which case full payment will be required immediately. Final payment is required no later than 12 June 2017.

5. All amounts are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%.6. We reserve the right to vary package entitlements if necessary.7. Cancellation/Amendments: If you wish to cancel or change your sponsorship package you

must advise us in writing to [email protected]. We reserve the right to charge the cancellation fees as follows:

a) On or prior to 12 June 2017: 50% of the total value of the sponsorship package.b) After 12 June 2017: 100% of the total value of the sponsorship package.

8. All cheques are to be made payable to ‘Australian Library and Information Association Ltd’ and are to be payable in Australian dollars. Payment can also be made by credit card (Mastercard and VISA only) or direct bank deposit by EFT.

ALIA reserves the right to cancel this event and refund your sponsorship payment in full. In this case liability will be limited to that amount and the sponsor shall have no further claim for damages or loss.
