• From “Issue Raised” to “Assigned to” AAC ICT Staff average 33 mins

• From “Assigned to” to “Initial Contact Of Member” Average 10 Hours

• From Contact of member to Escalation to Developers (if reqd.) Average 1.5 Days

• From Contact Of Member to Work Completed Average 3.5 Days

• From Issue Raised to Issue Closed Average 4.5 Days

• These Response Times are still well below IT Industry Best Practices for Service Desk Support and for Managing 2718 Devices, 1879 Staff and 15518 Cadets.

• Password Resets and Locked user Accounts can be reset by any of the following Appointments and these should be first point of contact (Chain of Command) for password resets: -

Toner Cartridges• Each AAC SCX4828 Printer (Black and White) are entitled to one 6000 Page Cartridge

per Financial Year

• Each AAC CLX-3175FN (Colour) are entitled to be replaced and these can be ordered as single colours at a time.

• Printers are not to be used for photo copying of documents.

• Cartridges Are NOT provided for All Brigade / Battalion Courses or Activities

CadetNet ICT Equipment – ID Printers

• Blank ID Cards and Ribbons – Dualys 3

• An AAC ICT Support Request to be raised for replacement ID Cards and Replacement Printing Ribbons.

• Cleaning Kits Have Been Issued to Every State and they need to be used to maintain Pritner Operation

AAC Support Requests – Requirements

• ITSO On Site Support for BN Level Activities and above

• Support Request must be lodged NLT 8 Weeks (or earlier) prior to the Event

• Request must have dates for ITSO’s Attendance of setup, pack up and whether on call support is required

• ICT Resources for Courses Camps are responsibility of the Region / Battalion.

• Activity Workspace Request• ICTM Requires Support Request Raised 6 Weeks (or earlier) to allow for adequate

prioritisation and staff allocation, as each workspace is customised to each activity

• At a Minimum, we require information as below :-

• Fields and Required Responses for Nominations in Excel Spreadsheet

• Permissions of who requires access and be able to edit / update nominations

CadetNet ICT Support Requests

• Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security

• Fault with Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security 2011 and Earlier which the DRN BlueCoat (Firewall) does not allow the Software to update when using the CadetNet Supplied Broadband Connection.

• Primarily Affects Users with Windows 7 Based CadetNet Computers

• Users are to Raise an ICT Support Request for a Trend Micro Update CD

• User to ensure the below details are listed in the Contact Details: -

• Point of Contact

• Unit

• Delivery Address

• CadetNet Email address

• Once the Job has been raised, a new CD will be dispatched with the system update’s on it for users to install.

AAC Support Requests – Broadband Faults

• Currently NewSat / Dodo are no longer providing connection support to the exisiting AAC Broadband connections

• Connections which are currently Disrupted or Faulty Require an ICT Support Request Raised to ensure that these sites are Listed as a Priority One Conversion when PACNET Full Rollout Commences.

• Currently 37ACU’s have logged a request advising of Faulty Connection and are Listed as Priority One for PACNET

New Tri-Service Broadband Rollout

• PACNET(Pacific Internet and Asia Netcom) is the selected provider to Defence for providing ADSL, ADSL2+ and Wireless ADSL to all Cadet Units around Australia and Internationally

• Phased Rollout of New Connections

• Tranche 1 is the Initial Pilot Rollout, 10 Sites Selected across Australia to test ADSL, ADSL2+ and 3G Wireless Connections

• Tranche 2 is conversion of all NewSAT/DODO Connections to PACNET Connections

• Tranche 3 is conversion of any cadet units of Wireless Broadband back to ADSL if it is now possible to do so

New Tri-Service Broadband Rollout

• Tranche 1 is Currently Underway, with 10 AAC Cadet Units currently trialling and providing feedback on the new Connections

• Tranche 2 will commence once the Pilot Rollout has been completed and feedback garnered from Participating Units.

• The Aim of Tranche 2 is to convert as many Cadets Units as possible with new PACNET as soon as they can be scheduled for conversion by the ICT Team.

CadetNet Unit Websites

• Every ADF Cadet Unit has a website on CadetNet for Recruitment, Information and Displaying their activities / achievements

• Having a Senior Cadet as a Web author and the OC / Admin Offr. As Web master will allow cadet units to develop their websites faster.

• An Examples are below: -

CadetNET Version 5 Update

• CadetNET Version 5 will be developed in Stages and Released Once Completed

• Stage 1 is the Development of the “Service System Administration” Module which is COMS Admin in the Current Platform

• Testing of the New Service System Administration Module will be undertaken in April 2014 by CRESD and Individual Service Subject Matter Experts

• Enrolment Workflows will be also developed and tested in conjunction with the new Service System Administration Modules to ensure the Business Workflows can be managed correctly

• New Improved Document Library for Easier Navigation and Document Location

• New ICT Problem and Change Management System to improve ICT Service Delivery to AAC Units and HQ’s
