AUSTRALIAN ANIMALS
THE KOALAS
THE KOALA IS A VERY TYPICAL ANIMAL WHICH ONLY LIVES IN AUSTRALIA. IT LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE BEAR WITH VERY BIG EARS. IT MEASURES ABOUT 70 CM. IT WEIGHS ABOUT 10 Kg. IT CAN LIVE UP TO 20 YEARS. THE KOALAS NEVER DRINK. THEY ONLY FEED THEMSELVES WITH EUCALYPTUS LEAVES. THEY ONLY LIVE IN THE EUCALYPTUS FOREST EAST OF AUSTRALIA.THEY ARE PROTECTED.
KANGAROOS
KANGAROOS ALWAYS LIVE IN GROUP. THERE ARE ABOUT FITY SPECIES AND THEY ARE NUMEROUS IN AUSTRALIABABIES ARE THE SIZE OF A BEAN WHEN THEY ARE BORN.THEY LIVE IN THEIR MOTHER4S POUCH. THEY ARE PINK, BLIND AND HAIRLESS.
PLATYPUS
The platypus measures 50cm long and 12cm high. However, it is not an animal like the others. It has a duck nozzle and webbed legs. Perfectly designed for underwater
life, the platypus has two layers of fur the first is short and dense and never lets water through to the skin. The second is longer and is the layer of fur that gets wet. The tail is fat for the long cold winter in freezing waters
DINGO
The dingo is a wild dog. It often has yellowish hair but sometimes white, black or brown, it has ears drawn up and a pointed muzzle. The dingo is about 1,20m long and 50cm high
