Arrive in CairnsArrive today in the coastal city of Cairns, the last major settlement inFar North Queensland. Here older homes are built in the traditionalstyle of the area - on stilts! Hedged in by mangroves, you might wishto stroll along the waterfront esplanade, shaded by tropical plants andfig trees.

Day 4: Cairns

Great Barrier Reef CruiseDiscover Australia's magnificent Great Barrier Reef, one of the naturalwonders of the world. Cruise from Cairns via speedy air-conditionedcatamaran to the Outer Reef. After mooring at Moore Reef, whichteems with multi-colored underwater life, you can opt to walk, swim,snorkel, or take a semi-submersible or glass-bottomed boat ride toview the best of this underwater scenery: the electric colors of tropicalfish, swaying plants, and beautiful corals. Morning tea and a buffetlunch are included.

Built upon asandstone foundation from which the area gets its name, today theRocks serves as a cultural and historical meeting place for Sydneylocals and visitors alike. Stroll through the narrow, cobblestone streetsto find galleries, restaurants and shops around every corner. If you'rethere on a Saturday or Sunday, explore the fabulous weekend streetmarket-a tented city block filled with handcrafts, art and local foods.Street performers treat onlookers with examples of their skill. Don't besurprised if you're asked to try out your lung power on one of theworld's oldest instruments: the didgeridoo!

Day 7: Sydney

Sightseeing of SydneyWith your Tour Director, learn about the city's early days as a land forexiled convicts during your Sydney sightseeing. Take a seat on Mrs.Macquarie's Chair, a sandstone bench supposedly hand carved byconvicts for Governor Macquarie's wife in 1810. From this legendaryperch, take in spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and theworld-famous Sydney Opera House. Continue to The Gap, an oceancliff that overlooks the point where Captain Arthur Phillip's fleet firstentered Port Jackson to establish the settlement that would becomeAustralia. After a stop at Bondi Beach, drive through the historicRocks district and pass beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Take a cruise of Sydney HarbourBoard your boat for a scenic cruise through beautiful Sydney Harbour.You'll also visit Darling Harbour, where a complex of shops, gardensand museums opened for the 1988 bicentennial.

Visit the Sydney TowerToday you'll visit the observation deck of Sydney Tower. At 1,063feet, it is the tallest building south of the equator. Look towards thesouth and see if you can spot Wollongong, New South Wales' thirdlargest city and home to the biggest steelworks in Australia.

Day 8: Sydney | Queenstown

Fly to QueenstownTouch down in Queenstown, a breathtaking lake and alpine resort cityin the middle of the southern end of the South Island.

Skyline gondola ride and dinner (pending confirmation)Take in the stunning views from the Skyline Queenstown Gondola!You will rise up to Bob's Peak where you'll enjoy the best views of thearea. After your gondola ride, enjoy dinner at the StratosfareRestaurant while viewing the city below you.

Day 9: Queenstown

Cruise the Milford SoundHead out to explore the breathtaking Milford Sound in New Zealand'sFiordland, home to some of the most memorable scenery in theworld. Travel through the Five Rivers farming region and past LakeTe'Anau Pass through beautiful beech forests and stop at theglittering Mirror Lakes. Cruise around Milford Sound, in view of MitrePeak Lunch is also included today.

Day 10: Queenstown

Excursion to ArrowtownThis morning, visit the quirky and historic gold mining town ofArrowtown.

Free time in QueenstownWalk through the city center along Lake Wakatipu with views of thedramatic Southern Alps. Renowned for adventure sports,Queenstown is the perfect base for exploring the region's history andculture.

Day 11: Queenstown | Christchurch

Travel to ChristchurchMake the trek north to Christchurch today. Along the way, you'll stopto admire the beauty of the Canterbury Plains, Mackenzie Country,Lake Tekapo and the Kawarua River. Officially the oldest establishedcity in New Zealand, Christchurch is known as the Garden Citybecause of its many trees and large number of public parks. It sits onthe edge of the Canterbury Plains that stretch to the Southern Alpsand is home to some of the finest panoramas in the world.

Day 12: Christchurch | Rotorua

Fly to Hamilton and travel to RotoruaArrive in Rotorua, originally settled by the Maori on the North Island ofNew Zealand. This area is known for its geothermal activity - here youcan see geysers, thermal springs and bubbling mud pools!

Rotorua Duck TourThis afternoon, see Rotorua in a unique way. Board an amphibiousvehicle and enjoy the gorgeous scenery as you learn about the historyof the area from your 'conducktor'.

Day 13: Rotorua

Visit the Rotorua AgrodomeAn extremely popular visitor attraction, the Rotorua Agrodome is theplace to learn about some of New Zealand's most importantagricultural activities. Here you can enjoy the multi-award winningSheep Show demonstration that educates you on New Zealand'sfarming industry and will introduce you to 19 breeds of sheep. Alsosee live sheep shearing and a famous New Zealand dog trial.

See a jade carving demonstrationDiscover New Zealand's exquisite green gemstone.

Exploration time in RotoruaThis afternoon, your Tour Director will be able to suggest someadditional activities for your group.

Day 14: Rotorua

Visit the Wai-O-Tapu geothermal areaWalk through the Wai-O-Tapu area, where you will learn aboutgeothermal activity and geysers.

Excursion to a local Moari communityTravel south of Rotorua, to a community called Murupara, where youwill participate in an immersive cultural experience. Locals from thecommunity will lead you on a walking tour of their village. Visit aschool and enjoy an exchange with students and learn more abouttheir way of life. There may also be an option to working on your chefskills and learn to cook traditional food. End the day by learning thetraditional war dance of the Maori people - the Hakka, and well ashow to dance with a poi (strings with pods attached to them that youcan dance with)!

Day 15: Rotorua | Auckland

Travel via the Waitomo glowworm caves to AucklandYour tour will take you through stunning underground scenerycommencing with the impressive Cathedral. Your tour begins at theupper entrance of the cave and proceeds along a low narrowpassage to the Tomo, a deep limestone shaft. Other magnificent caveformations include the Banquet Chamber, the Pipe Organ and theCatacombs. The highlight of your tour is an unrivalled boat tripthrough the spectacular Glowworm Grotto. As your eyes adjust to thedark, the walls and roof sparkle with the lights of glowworm larvae.Glide silently through the starry wonderland of the glowworm grotto,your way lit by a myriad of tiny glowworm lights glittering, andreflecting off the water.

Arrive in AucklandLocated on a narrow isthmus between two harbors, Auckland is builtatop seven extinct volcanoes.
