Performance Enhancer for Blended and

Portland Cements

Uses

Auracem 400 is one of the latest product development by

Fosroc International in the field of Grinding Aids and

Performance Enhancers for Blended and Portland cements.

Auracem 400 is a special chemical formulation that provides

improvement in grinding efficiency and overall strength of

cement at the level better than the previous generations of

Grinding Aids. It comprises a new patented high efficiency

grinding aid which also enhances early and late strength of

cement.

Advantages

A reduction in cement agglomeration and caking of balls

and mill walls. Moreover it will reduce surface energy of

clinker and promote crack initiation and propagation. It

also increases separator efficiency which will result in

reduced reject feed and increased mill throughput.

A reduction in initial and final setting time is observed

when it is applied on both blended and Portland cements.

An increase in cement strength. Test data shows that

Auracem 400 sig nif ican tly increases compressive

strength, notably at early ages. The early strength can

be increased up to 20% depending on the filler amount

in the clinker, clinker composition and cement surface

area.

A reduction in cemen t produ ct ion cos ts th roug h

replacement of clinker with reactive and non-reactive

fillers, or reduced cement fineness or improved mill

output per unit costs without scarifying the overall cement

quality.

Addition Rate

Auracem 400 is used at the recommended dosage rate by

weight of cement. Individual dosage may vary due to different

type of clinker and clinker replacement, type of mill and

desired cement performance. The recommended dosage is

0.02 - 0.07% by weight of cement.

Dosing Equipment

Auracem 400 quality enhancer is added to the clinker using

a dispensing system at the material conveyer. Fosroc

representatives will advise the best location for the dispensing

system. No water addition is necessary. Fosroc

representatives can advise on suitable equipment for

installation, covering manual, semi-automatic, fully automatic

and computerised systems.

Compatibility

Auracem 400 is suitable for use with all types of Portland

cement and cement replacement materials e.g. GGBS, PFA

and limestone.

Auracem 400 is compatible to all concrete admixtures.

Storage

Auracem 400 has a minimum shelf life of 12 months provided

the temperature is kept within the range of 2 - 50C.

Packaging

Auracem 400 is supplied in 250kg drum or by tanker delivery.

Technical Support

Fosroc representatives are available for laboratory and mill

trials. Complete testing equipment and procedures for

analysing mill performance are supplied during trials. Fosroc

representatives are also available at all times while usingFosroc grinding aids for servicing, technical supports and

troubleshooting.

Health & Safety

Odour, fumes, spillage : No noxious fumes. If accidentally

spilled on skin, wash off immediately with soap and water. If

accidentally splashed into eyes, wash out immediately with

water, and consult a physician. If accidentally swallowed,

induce vomiting and call a physician immediately.
