In the light of a social and working re-integraon, Augusta Pini Foundaon has decided to invest in the interacon between art and psychoanalysis, mainly leng the cinema itself provide teenagers with all the tools they need to re-discover themselves, through workshops and training in “Image Educaon”. Filmagogia Foundaon welcomed the iniave of its president, Mr. Giorgio Palmeri, with the creaon of an educaonal path that has already witnessed the realizaon of important producons. Among them: “Good Friday night” by Alessio Gonnella, presented in Venice in 2014 (produced by Augusta Pini Foundaon, in collaboraon with Filamagogia Foundaon); “Aspeando la Prima” by Alessio Gonnella and Luigi Zambo- nella (produced by Augusta Pini Foundaon, in collaboraon with Filamagogia Foundaon); and “Break” by Ivan Selva, presented in Venice in 2014 (produced by Augusta Pini Foundaon, in collaboraon with Filama- gogia Foundaon). From May 2015 a new secon, dedicated to social emergencies, will be acve within the audiovisual mul- media archive Media-Archive, created by Aimaproject SA with the academic collaboraon of Filmagogia Foundaon that will assess the professionalism, the expressive quality and the contents of each work. A special commission created by Filmagogia Foundaon will carry out the selecon. AUGUSTA PINI 2015 AWARD IN THE OTHER’S GAZE

CONTEST PURPOSE

The contest aims to give value to all those productions that will show and describe the conditions of social disadvantage and exclusion of teenagers even in the light of a potential virtuous social re-integration, through the selection and the acquisition of highly professional works that will be eventually collected in a dedicated section of Media-Archive. The Archive gives value to and promote the work of directors and video makers along with the productions of teenagers who have found a way towards rehabilitation and social re-integration in videos and films. It also aims to collaborate for a curricular valorization of audiovi-suals made by students from different grades, universities, academies of art and masters, in order to give them visibility via a database accessible by companies and public authorities. It also wants to create a network of professionals that can work together and take part in educational events organized in collabora-tion with universities, institutions and qualified associations.

Media-ArchiveAimaproject SA created Media-Archive, a multimedia archive (organized according the Common Creatives criteria) intended for the utilization and the collection of audiovisual materials selected by a specific board constituted by Filmagogia Foundation assessing their professionalism, expressive quality and contents.

CONTEST ADDRESSEESThe contest is addressed to all the Arts high schools, as well as schools of all grades, students of universi-ties, art academies, masters, associations, directors, video makers and producers.

DURATION OF THE CONTESTRegistrations will be open from May 20 to July 20, 2015.The selection process will take place in July and August 2015.The authors and/or the producers of the works selected for the contest’s final will be informed by e-mail. Only finalists will be contacted.

Presidente della Commissione: *Alain Bergala *Alain Bergalà (Nouvelle Sorbonne Paris III- "La Fémis"), well-known film maker, critic for the Cahiers du Cinéma and author of many articles about cinema, he was the consultant on artistic education of the former French Ministry of Education Mr. Jack Lang. In specific, his theoretical contribution on the princi-ples of film education, with the film intended as an art, is impressive in “L'hypothèse cinéma: petit traité de transmission du cinéma à l'école et ailleurs 2” Direction of the Committee:*Fabio Matteuzzi Director of “Fuorivista Cinema e Multimedia”, a magazine on film culture that has been collaborating for years with many departments of the University of Bologna.*Loretta Guerrini Verga President of Filmagogia Foundation, is a Professor of Film Analysis and TV and Cinema Writing at DAMS, University of Bologna. Mrs Guerrini Verga, director of many scripts for the TV and the European Community, has already been part of the Panel of Judges for the selection of the Biennale d’Arte, Venice 2001 (for the state of San Marino). She is also author of many assays on classic and contempo-rary filmmakers and articles on virtual set and augmented reality, as the result of her research activity.

Members of the Committee: *Antonio J. Merino Director of the Càtedra de Genètica y Vida of the UDEM Universidad (Mexico). Dean of the Pontificia Università Antonianum of Rome, Director of Masters in Science and Environmental Culture, he is also the author of many essays on philosophy and Franciscan Studies, as well as studies on the relation between philosophy and the environment, published in different languages*Manlio Piva Professor of Audiovisuals and Multimedia Didactic at the FISSPA Department of the University of Padua. He is also author of many articles, in particular on Robert Bresson, and specifically focused on the relation between sound and cinematographic images, as well as cinema and media education in schools* Giorgio Palmeri President of Augusta Pini Foundation and Buon Pastore Institute Onlus (in consultancy with the Foundation’s psychologists).*Mariagrazia Contini Professor of General and Social Pedagogy, Education Philosophy and Childhood and Family Pedagogy at the Department of Education of the University of Bologna. She is also the author of many publications, among which: “Per una pedagogia delle emozioni”; “La comunicazione intersoggettiva tra solitu-dini e globalizzazione”; “Elogio dello Scarto e della Resistenza”; “Molte infanzie, molte famiglie”. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIESI declare that I am the author of the above-mentioned work and that I have obtained all the assignations from all those potentially entitled to (in particular from the composer/s of the original soundtrack and including data consents and authorizations required filming either people or locations). I grant to Aima-project SA, as executives of Media-Archive, and to Filmagogia Foundation the utilization of my work free of charge or any time limitation, and in particular, on the condition that the work’s authorship is quoted, I consent:- To its showing in locations and events organized.- To its potential inclusion in an audiovisual collection, that will be later sent to different bodies, companies, and partners and to all the events dealing with social matters, and that will be distributed within the event itself.- To its distribution by the organizer through its channels, on its website and/or via any other communica-tion mean.- To the publication of all the materials I sent, whether hardcopies or digital documents.Rights and Responsibilities concerning Media-Archive: Media-Archive shall grant visibility, popularization and distribution to the works that will be included in it. The author furthermore declares that the organizer can use the above-mentioned works, after a written and signed agreement that guarantees the exclusive author’s copyright. In this specific circumstance, the organizer and the author commit to honor what follows: at the moment of the distribution of the work by the organizer and the author, the economic rights of the work belong exclusively to the author, who commits to give the organizer a share of the profits deri-ving from the economic assignations proportionally to the expenses of the agency and in accordance to the purpose of the utilization (purchase, usufruct, exclusive usufruct). The author discharges the organizer from any liability even related to potential characters showed in these works. It is possible to participate in the competition with only one audiovisual production. Should the audio be in a language different from Italian, English subtitles are required. The award ceremony will be held between September 2 and September 12, 2015 (as announced during the 71st Venice International Film Festival, within the international workshop “Filmagogia 2014” held at the Villa Corner della Regina Hotel in Vedelago (Treviso) and at the Veneto Region pavilion, at the Excelsior Hotel). During the ceremony, the three finalist works for the categories Social Emergency (Augusta Pini Award), Environment and Sustainability (Filmagogia Award) and Education (Filmagogia Award) will be awar-ded, as well as other special mentions at discretion of the Panel. The judges have furthermore the possibili-ty to award within one of the three categories irrespectively of the specific theme of the category of registration. During the awarding, the works selected for Media Archive’s thematic archives will be announ-ced.

RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The participation to the Contest implies the unconditional agreement on all the articles of the present regulation (mandatory for the inclusion in the contest) and allows the organizer to treat personal data within the limitations and the purpose of the contest, including the distribution of the winners’ name to newspapers, radios, TV, the organizer’s website and �iers. The organizer has moreover the right to modify the following data and the duty to inform promptly who may be concerned.For any aspect not considered in this contract the Obligations Code will be applied.
