It’s that time of year again, school is back in session! What better way to celebrate the beginning of a new school year than to have a social? Everyone who attend-ed our Back to School Bash can easily agree that it was a huge success. From returning members to new ones, everyone had a blast. The social started off with a big bang. Who doesn’t love ice cream? All attendees were treated to huge, table-long gutter that was filled with scoop after scoop of ice cream in any flavor you could possibly imagine. But what good is ice cream without any toppings? Everyone who attended was allowed to bring any toppings of their choice to go with their ice cream.

recaps
When everyone was nearing their stopping point, the attending officers took the time to welcome everyone to the social and introduce themselves one by one so the members could be acquainted with just exactly who the officers of the club are. After that, each member also introduced themselves. After all of the official busi-ness was taken care of, everyone was split up into large groups so they could participate in two very interesting icebreakers. The first one was called “Spiders.” Basically all participants were to touch their index finger onto the palm of the person to their right’s outstretched arm. On the count of three, everyone was supposed to move their finger away from the right person’s palm while si-multaneously trying to grab onto the left person’s fin-ger. If your finger was caught, you were out. Everyone had a great time participating in this with one another.
Even though everyone had fun in the previous icebreak-er, the upcoming one did not disappoint. In this ice-breaker, everyone joined hands with someone besides the people to their immediate left or right. The objective was to try to untangle from the mass of entwined arms and bodies without letting go of the hands they were hold-ing. If they were successful and everything went smooth, then everyone would end up in a large circle. It was great! After all the icebreakers were finished and all the awk-wardness was gone, everyone was left to socialize with old friends or any new people they might have met during the social. The Back to School Bash turned out to be very fun and rewarding because in the end, it brought the members of our Key Club closer together. -UsmanHyder

FTC fundraiser CARWASH
The car wash was a fun event. Even though there was a bit of rain in the morning, that didn’t discourage our burning passion to keep going with the car wash. But the burning passion did get a bit wet with all the water that was splashed about with the cars be-ing washed! We had a good amount of cars come to get their vehicles sparkling clean. Summit Key Club can thank North Crowley’s Key Club for com-ing out and helping out. Especially for bringing the water gun used to wash off the car!! From setting up, holding the posters on the sidewalk in front of Autozone, to washing the car, the event was very enjoyable and success-ful!..! -Junior Sanchez
