It’s Hot, hot, hot…need I say more!

Don’t forget, Row by Row continues until September and we still have our Row by Row kits

and pattern available.

We had a beginner in our Wrapped Bowl class last month. Hope did a great job on her

project. Maryann’s class, Loyal Following was another beginner friendly class and Robin’s

class, Jog Road had everyone getting ready for Christmas! Be sure to check out the pictures

of finished projects in our Picture Gallery.

Our Christmas in July is always a fun day with games, door prizes, and a Treasure Hunt.

Congratulations to Jackie Blazok the winner of our Treasure gift basket valued at over $100.

If you didn’t make it on the 30th, be sure to stop in and see all the new holiday fabrics and

kits that are available.

Starting off this month we have the Cabin Leaves Table Runner scheduled for the second and

third Thursday. This table runner, using log cabin strips and unique peeled back curves, is

sure to be the center piece of your fall table. Our Ventana Quilt, on the 13th, will teach large

scale foundation paper piecing. The Portlandia Quilt, August 19th, is a quick and easy strip

piecing project. Next, on the 21st, is our Mini Pumpkin Wall Hanging using the Mini Quick

Curve Ruler. If pumpkins aren’t your thing, Robin will show you how to turn your pumpkins

into pineapples! Our last class of the month will be Donna’s Project Bag. With a choice of

either an afternoon or evening class, there will be no excuses for not having your projects

neat, tidy AND in one place!

If you missed having your machine serviced by George last month, we have him scheduled

again for Saturday, August 13th. He can also sharpen your scissors! It’s first come, first

serve, so sign up early!

September will have a nice blend of classes. For those of you who have been eyeing the

pieced quilt on the classroom wall (Linda Thompson’s Stained Glass Memory Box) we have

scheduled the class for the beginning of September. It is a unique blend of paper piecing and

quilt as you go. Also coming in September we’ll be doing a Tuffet Pin Cushion class, a quick

and easy Trick or Treat Bag just in time for Halloween, and Wistful, a fun, easy,

contemporary quilt. Robin’s Sunday class will be a quilt in a day pattern called Color Wheel,

a Beginner’s Class and a repeat of the Collage Class will round out the month. Be sure to

check the calendar for dates and times.

Now is the time to get started on those holiday projects. The Christmas Countdown starts

NOW!

Just a reminder that we will be starting our NEW First Saturday Block of the Month on

September 3. This time around we will be doing Hearts. For those of you who might not

know how our First Saturday BOM works…you pay $10 for your first block, each week you

show the previous week’s finished block and you receive your next block free. Miss a week,

it’s $10 again.
