Savage Street Is Now My Longest Work My first work with the North Long Beach Church of Christ in Long Beach, California was just under 3 years and 4 months long. My second work with the Nile Street Church in Klamath Falls was slightly less than 18 years and 9 months. For Savage Street, I began October 1, 2002 and now it is August, 2021, which puts me at 18 years and 10 months with this congregation.
When God Blesses You When God blesses you financially first raise your standard of giving, then raise your standard of living.
Why Were You Created? Why did God create you and put you into the place of life where you find yourself?
Was it just to sit at home and live off a government check? Is your life really better by not getting a job and just relying on the government to supply you with what you need? Was it just so that you could
watch television for many hours in the day and night? Was it just that you might lay around your house all day? Was it just to live for yourself?
What are you making of your life? Look at the life of Jesus and see that he was all about doing the will of God and serving man.
Brethren, God created us that we might: “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether good or evil” (Ecclesiastes
12.13–14).
Think of what you are doing with your life and then remember what Solomon said, that what we have done, God will bring into the Judgment.
What kind of life shall you explain to him? Let it be one in which
you followed the Lord Jesus Christ by doing the will of the Father and serving your
fellow man.
If you do that, heaven is yours.
