We are not alone, we live in God’s world. We believe in God: who has created and is creating, who has come in Jesus, the Word made flesh, to reconcile and make new, who works in us and others by the Spirit. We trust in God. We are called to be the church: to celebrate God’s presence, to love and serve others, to seek justice and resist evil, to proclaim Jesus, crucified and risen, our judge and our hope. In life, in death, in life beyond death, God is with us. We are not alone. Thanks be to God. Amen.

Remember, the youth have a JAM PACKED DAY today: 9:45 am - Sunday School 10:45 am - Worship service Noon - Lunch 1:30 pm - Stone Soup (meet at Quapaw Quarter if you’re not going to lunch with the group) 4:30 - Drop off from Stone Soup at Asbury/Leave for Worship night at Pinnacle Mountain 7:30 pm - Return from Pinnacle Mountain (Pick up at Asbury) **Everyone is welcome to join us for any/all of this! You can get on the bus at noon, or at 4:30, (at Asbury) and you can get off at 4:30 or 7:30 (at Asbury!)
If you are a youth parent and have not turned in your parent involvement form, please get that back to Amy Shores ASAP, so we can be sure we have enough volunteers for this year!
Remember, NO YOUTH (or Confirmation) on the following Sunday, September 3 (Labor Day!)
We are taking a group to Refuge (a weekend retreat on November 10-12 for 6-9th graders) this year. It’s $140 (money in your youth account can be used!) Deadline to sign up/pay is Sunday, Sept. 10. Sign up with Amy Shores if you’d like to attend!
