PresidentsReport-August2018ThankyoutoeveryoneforyourfeedbackandideasforourSummerShowcaseandfornewideasforournextGlasshouseexhibition(2020).Wearenowchewingoverallthisinputandmoreinformationonbotheventswillbeincludedinourfuturenewsletters.Overthepastfewmonthsandintothismonthwehaveprovidedanumberoffreeworkshopsformembers.Iwouldliketotakethisopportunitytothankallthetutorsinvolvedinthesesessionsfordonatingtheirtime,expertiseandpassionforartandartists.Itwouldbegreattogetfeedbackfromthosewhohaveattendedthesessionssothatwecandevelopsomeplansforfuturesessions.Ifyouhaveattendedasession,pleaseletusknowifyouthoughtitbeneficialorifthereareothersubjects/areasthathavenotbeencovered.Iwouldalsoliketoremindeveryonewhodoesgallerydutythatallsalesneedtobeincludedonthedailysalesheets(notjustnotedinthediary).Thisisparticularlyrequiredforthesaleofsmalleritemssuchasunframedworkorcards.IknowitseemslikealotofpaperworkforsuchitemsbutitisneededforourrecordsandsowecanletartistsknowthattheyneedtobringadditionalworkintothegalleryIfyouhaveanydoubtsaboutwhatneedstobedone,thereisafolderwithalltheinstructionsandbothJanFarrellandTrishCameronwouldbehappytogothroughitwithyou.
