What Is Going On With The Roads In Hilliard?
Our August 18th luncheon will answer that question! Franklin County Engineer and
Hilliard resident, Cornell Robertson, will be our speaker to share what the updates are in the Hilliard area and surrounding communities. You have seen the orange barrels, now come and find out when they will go away and what is next for improving our infrastructure.
Cornell Robertson has served as the Franklin County Engineer since June 2017. He began his career at
the engineer’s office in 1992 and has held positions in construction, design, and overall engineering management. Cornell received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University and is a registered Professional Engineer and Professional Surveyor in Ohio. Cornell and his wife, Jill, have lived in Hilliard for 24 years, and they have three children: Kathryn, Blake, and Hayden.
We will be having our luncheon at the Courtyard by Marriott Columbus West, 2350 Westbelt Drive, Columbus, OH 43228. This hotel is located at the I-270 and Roberts Road exit. The luncheon is from 11:30-1:00 and reservations are required and need to be made by August 15 with payment.
Hilliard Women in Business
Join us for an important panel discussion on how women in business gain both
professionally and personally from finding mentors and becoming mentors themselves. Jeannette Armbrust, President of Skyline Exhibits, Ellen Grinsfelder, Owner of the Inn & Spa at Cedar Falls, and Mary McCarthy, President of YMT Consultants, will offer their experience, insight and advice at our Wednesday, August 16th Hilliard Women in Business Luncheon. This luncheon will be held at the Reception House at Raymond Memorial Golf Course on Trabue Road from 11:30am-1:15pm. Details are on our website and reservations are required.

The tastiest summer event in Hilliard will
be back again this year on Wednesday, August 2nd. The Taste of Hilliard & Business Expo, organized by the Hilliard Area
Chamber of Commerce, will feature around 80 area businesses and restaurants and provide our residents the opportunity to interact with and sample the many businesses and restaurants the Hilliard area has to offer. This premier tasting event has become more popular every year and is one of the ‘have-to’ events to attend in the Hilliard area. It will take place on Wednesday, August 2nd, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Makoy Center, 5462 Center Street.
An admission fee of $15 cash per person and $5 cash for ages 10 and under will give you the opportunity to sample all 30 restaurant offerings. Cash bars will be available in both rooms of the event.
You will be able to vote for your favorite appetizer, entrée, ice cream and dessert. Guests will be provided with a passport, which if filled out by the end of the event, will be entered into a raffle drawing for a $100 cash prize.
