The library’s summer hours are Monday through Thursday,
9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday & Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
WEEKLY EVENTS JULY 10 – AUGUST 18
Mondays
Move Along At the Town Common! 10:30 a.m. (all ages)
This thirty minute program features music, movement, sto-
ries, instruments, and other interactive activities to encour-
age social skills and promote early literacy! Parents and
caregivers are welcome and encouraged to participate. No
registration is required.
Maker Mondays, 2:30 p.m.
Join us each week for an exciting new STEAM-related activi-
ty! From bath bombs, to magnets, to beginner coding, your
Monday afternoons are about to get super creative!

August 14. Beginner Coding!
Tuesdays
Move Along At the Town Common! 10:30 a.m. (all ages)

Do-Gooder DIY Drop-In Craft at the Library, ALL DAY
Join us anytime on Tuesdays for a different service-oriented
craft project each week, focused on building a better world!

Performer Wednesdays! We’ll be welcoming a different
performer each week! Check the schedule for performer
information.
Thursdays
Baby Tummy Time! 9:30 a.m. (For pre-walkers ages 0-18
months)
Babies and caregivers: join us each Thursday morning for
amazing experience for children. Activities include giant
dragon creation, the building block madness tourna-
ment, a riveting zombie chase and the balloon firework
rocket extravaganza!
Summer Reading Wrap Up Party!
Friday, August 18, 3:00 p.m.
Celebrate the end of summer reading with a party at the
library! Pick up your prizes and certificate for completing
the summer reading program! enjoy balloons, games,
and fun surprises, and watch as we reveal which fun new
addition we'll be bringing to the library! Will it be a mak-
erspace kit or a green screen technology kit?
Teen Programs
Wednesday Strategy Sessions! Wednesdays at 5:00 p.m.
Need volunteer hours? Want to get involved with plan-
ning kids events here in the library? Join us every
Wednesday at 5PM as we plan and strategize our up-
coming events! Get involved, share your ideas, and get
volunteer hours at the same time! Snacks will be provid-
ed, of course! J
Book Brunch! Friday, August 18, 11:30 a.m.
Teens are welcome to join us for breakfast food and a
conversation about your favorite reads! Share what
books you’re loving lately, and get great book recom-
mendations from others!
Library Book Sale - Buck A Book!
Saturday, August 12, 9 – 3.
Bag Sale - $5 A Bag—Sunday, August 13, from 9-12. Come
fill a brown bag with all the books you can carry for only
$5 dollars. Bags will be provided.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book Club, Monday, August 7, 3:30 p.m. Like reading? Like Diary of a Wimpy Kid? Join us, and you will be entered into a raffle for a free auto-graphed organizer! We will also be watching the movie. Bryson Lang, Wednesday, August 9, 10:00 a.m. Join us for an unforgettable morning of family fun with Bryson Lang! His show mixes comedy, audience participation, ball spinning, ball bouncing, juggling, well-crafted timing, giant beach balls, improv, and always a few surprises! Come see why Bryson is, "the cure for the common show"!
Pancake Breakfast with Author Josh Funk, Saturday, August 12, 10:30-11:30 a.m. We are SO EXCITED to announce that author Josh Funk will be joining us for a pancake breakfast and a special reading of his hit books, "Lady Pancake and Sir French Toast" and "The Case of the Stinky Stench." Bring your appetites and come hear some hilarious tales of refrigerator hi-jinks!
Cultural Diversity Potluck, Saturday, August 12, 2:00-
4:00 p.m.
This summer, let's celebrate our wonderful world,
and our wonderful community by coming together
for food, music, and fun! We are asking community
members to join us by contributing a meal, song, or
story from their culture, and we will taste, listen, and
enjoy all together!

Jungle Jim’s Minecraft Madness, Wednesday, August
16, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Join Jungle Jim as he leads participants through the
magical world of minecraft! Combining balloon
artistry, magic, comedy and improv, Jim creates an
Tummy Time! Nurture your baby’s development with gentle
music, movement, and sensory play at the library! Please
bring a small blanket or towel for your baby’s comfort!
Story and Craft. 10:30 a.m. For ages 3—6 years of age.
Stories, activities, and a craft for children ages 3, 4, 5, and 6
who are able to attend "on their own." This program lasts
around 45 minutes. No registration is required.
Park It and Read!, 12:00 p.m.
Join us for a picnic storytime at one of Franklin's parks! We'll
be meeting at a different park, and exploring a different
theme each week! Bring your own picnic and blanket.

Family Yoga Fridays, 9:30 a.m.
Put on some comfy clothes, grab the whole family and your
yoga mats and join us in the program room for a family yoga
adventure! We'll follow along with a fabulous story, doing
different moves to keep the story going!
Lemonade and Giant Legos, 3:30 p.m.
Drop-in every Friday afternoon for some refreshing lemonade
and the chance to play with our brand new GIANT Lego set...

Special Programs for Kids and Families
Marvelous Marvin’s Brain Circus,
Wednesday, August 2, 5:00 p.m.
"Brain Circus" begins with a rhyming overature about brain
health and it's links with exercise and reading! Then we join
the circus and feel our brains grow! We'll learn circus skills,
juggling props, balancing sticks, spinning plates, flip-and-
flyers, hula hoops, rhythm sticks and romper stompers!
The Day the Crayons Quit Party, Friday, August 4,10:30 AM Let's celebrate and appreciate our favorite hardworking drawing supplies! First, we'll read the hit book, "The Day the Crayons Quit," and its sequel "The Day the Crayons Came Home," then we'll celebrate with crafts, snacks, and activities
